CHAPTER:21

Jay hadn't gotten the opportunity to 'breakup' with Hana yesterday due to the other vital matters.

Cho-hee had just come back into his life. Though she was in the same class as him, he had been successfully ignoring her existence ever since the incident. No, this was meant in the most literal sense. Jay's mind had actually blocked her out- her name,face,age, EVERYTHING. It's as though she was non existent. And because she knew she was the one who fucked up, she'd been trying to get with Jay ever since.

''Hello lover.'' Cho-hee rasped in her bratty voice.

Jay continued walking to his locker since, well, he didn't know her and wasn't worth his time, she didn't deserve it.

''C'mon Jay, I know you can hear me! It's been over a year and you haven't looked at or spoken to me, not even once!'' Cho-hee couldn't stand the fact that Jay abhorred her now so she ran in front of him disrupting his walk. He looked right past her despite her being directly before him.

''Jay, if you won't interact with me, at least tell me who's the boy you posted a picture with on Instagram. Who is he?? You went missing for over a week and you post a picture with some ugly ass looking-''

She hadn't even finished her sentence when she felt herself being shoved in a nearby locker.

''DON'T YOU EVER TALK ABOUT HIM LIKE THAT AGAIN, YOU HEAR ME? IF YOU KNOW WHAT'S GOOD FOR YOU, YOU'LL PUT SOME FUCKING RESPECT IN YOUR MOUTH WHEN YOU SPEAK OF HIM- IN FACT, DON'T MENTION HIM. YOU'RE TOO MUCH OF A LOWLIFE FOR HIS GRACE. DON'T LET ME HAVE THIS TALK WITH YOU AGAIN, YOU WOULDN'T LIKE ME THEN.''

Cho-hee was too stunned to speak. She was bewildered and partially horrified- Jay had never behaved like this before. Who the hell was this boy and why was Jay so defensive about him? And he actually spoke to her? FOR THE FIRST TIME IN OVER ONE FULL YEAR??

Surely this boy must've been some descendent of noble blood. She fixed he messy hair and her crumpled shirt then tried to act like she wasn't shaken by the beast she just encountered.

Sunoo found Jungwon sitting on the floor by his locker. Ni-ki was already there hugging him and crying softly.

The boy had bright red bruises on his neck and there was definitely more under his shirt. His lip also had a small split on the side.

He wasn't really crying since he had braced himself mentally beforehand but that didn't excuse anything that happened to him.

''I'm s..sorry I left you!!'' Ni-ki cried. ''I should've stayed-''

''No, no, no, don't blame yourself. This is NOT your fault Ni-ki, besides I'm fine.''

''No you're not! You don't have to pretend to be okay when you're not!!''

Sunoo didn't know what to do. Should he cry, should he try comforting his friends..should he betray Jungwon's trust and tell someone..

''I..I just need to get cleaned up in the bathroom..I'll be back.''

''I'm coming with you in case anything else happens.''

Ni-ki helped Jungwon walk to the bathroom leaving Sunoo standing alone in the hall. Then Sunoo caught sight of Jungwon's bag still on the floor. His mind raced into many thoughts, this was his chance.

''I'm sorry Jungwon.'' Sunoo rushed to the boy's bag to look for his phone. When he found it, he entered the password and went straight to the contacts to look for Jay's number. He took it down and rushed back to class excitedly.

''One step down, several more to go!''

''What are you gonna tell Jay?'' Ni-ki asked Jungwon as the boy buttoned up his shirt in the bathroom.

''Nothing, because he's not going to know.'' he replied indifferently. ''And don't tell anyone about this unless you want me to hate you forever.''

''O..okay..''

Ni-ki watched Jungwon leave the bathroom and as he did that, a cubicle door opened. A tall boy came out and looked at Ni-ki seriously.

''WHO'S ILSEONG AND WHAT HAS HE DONE TO JUNGWON?

'Oh crap..I'm over..'  Ni-ki thought in dread.
