"Daddy!" I smiled when I saw Stancey running to me.

Binuhat ko siya nang makalapit at hinalikan sa pisngi. Kadarating ko lang galing sa company dahil nagpatawag ako nang stockholder's meeting bago kami umalis papuntang New York to celebrate Christmas.

"Where's Ate and Stance?" I asked her.

I placed my car keys and bag at the center table and carried her to the kitchen.

She pouted while playing with my tie. "They're outside making fun of me, daddy. They hide somewhere and I cannot find them. We're playing hide and seek. Madaya, kaya I go inside nalang and wait for them in the living room." napailing ako dahil ganoon lagi ang eksena nilang tatlo.

"Daddy!" napalingon kami sa pinto at nag-uunahan pang tumakbo si Avi at Stance.

"I'm looking for you. You told me you will not hide sa mahirap mahanap but you did. I hate you two." ngumuso at humalukipkip pang sambit ni Stancie.

"We hide in the bushes behide you. Is that mahirap to find?" supladong sagot ni Stance. Napailing ako ulit sa paraan niya nang pagsasalita. Natutunan niya iyon kay Avi.

"What's our pasalubong, daddy?" Avi asked.

"I bought ice cream and cinnamon rolls." I don't know when and how they learned about the pastry shop near our subdivision. Hindi iyon nadadaanan tuwing papasok sila sa school kaya nakapagtataka na alam nila ang tungkol doon.

"Wow! My favorite." Stancie clap her hands when she saw the cinnamon rolls.

"Wash your hands first." I told them. Avi help them wash their hands.

"Where's Manang?" I asked Avi.

"She's in the quarter, daddy." I just nod before going to my room to change my clothes.

I sighed when I saw Zandrea's portrait in our room. Tinitigan ko iyon at malungkot na napangiti.

It's been 5 years. A years of hell for me..for us. Hindi ko alam kung pinaglalaruan ba ako nang tadhana o sadyang malas lang ako sa mga babaeng mamahalin ko.

Bumaba ako at nakita ang mga anak kong masayang kumakain. They are our happy pill. Kapag kasama ko sila ay nakakalimutan ko ang mga problema.

"Daddy, join us." anyaya ni Avi.

I smiled at them. "What do you want for dinner?" I asked.

"I want adobo."

"I want fried chicken."

"I want longganisa."

I eyed them. Sabay-sabay pa silang nagsalita. Lahat nang sinabi nila ay paborito ni Zandrea.

"I want longganisa." pagpilit ni Stancey.

"It's for breakfast." pagtutol ni Stance.

"Hmm. Basta! I want longganisa." umiling-iling pa siya.

Stance glanced at me. Waiting for me to decide. I sighed.

"We can have adobo, friend chicken and longganisa for dinner." I told them.

"Yehey!" Stancey jumped when she heard me.

"I love you, Daddy, you're the best!" she even kissed and hugged me.

You're the best!" That's what I want to hear from them atleast I make them happy eventhough Zandrea is not with us anymore.

"I love you too, my babies." lumapit sila saakin at yumakap na agad ko namang ginantihan.
