I sat on my bed with my headphones in, doing my homework for English since its due tomorrow. My throat was killing since I was coming down with a cold or something, so I wasn't talking too much not that I do a lot anyway. I couldn't even sing along to the music due to my sore throat. Just as I was finishing up Romae walked in. He was speaking but I didn't want to take out my earphones out so I pointed to my bag across the room so he could get his book out which i'm assuming is what he came in here for. After he got it he once again stood talking to me. Since I couldn't hear him I sat staring at him hoping he would get the message. He finally stopped talking and walked up to me with his screw face and sat on my bed pulling my earphones out in the process.
Romae: Can you help me?
I shook my head at him.
Romae: why not?
I shook my head again since it hurt to talk.
Romae: Can you talk?
I really wanted to talk but since my voice was croaky once again I shook my head &pointed to the door.
Romae: Okay at least read my work to see if i'm on the right track.
I rolled my eyes snatching his book from him, his handwriting was nice and clear so it wasn't hard to read &understand, meaning it didn't take long. Once I was done I stuck my thumbs up at him.
Romae: So I'm done?
I shook my head again
Romae: what do I have to do then?
I cleared my throat thinking it would make it better but it didn't I still sounded terrible.
Me: you need to suggest reasons why on the last question.
his eyes widened as soon as I spoke so I rolled my eyes making him burst out laughing, I threw his book at him and walked out to run my bath. What a prick. I sat on the side of the bath tryna clear my throat but it hurt too much.

I sat in the front room with my mum watching the TV to pass some time before going to bed.
Mum: How's school going?
Me: its going good so far, still keeping my head down
Mum : good &its good you're helping Romae-lorenzo aswell
Me : what?
Mum : He told me you've started helping him to concentrate in lessons because i know hes trouble maker.
Me : Oh yeah
I was confused, all we did was make a bet, he's winning at the moment but I know he can't keep it up for too long.
Mum: there's medicine in the cupboard for your throat, go and take some.
I stood up making my way to the kitchen where my brother Jay (Jeremiah) and Sam were watching something on Sam's laptop.
Jay stood up turning the kettle on.
Me: Hi guys
Jeremiah: do you want some mint tea? Cause you sound like a bear
I gave him a dirty look then put the medicine back where it was.
Me: Yes please
I sat down beside sam and joined in with him watching the football.
Sam: You know kissing helps your throat
Me: And how would you know that?
Sam: its a theory of mine, do you wanna see if it works?
we both turned to jay as he bursted out laughing in the corner
Jeremiah: Samuel don't even try it
They both started laughing together but I didn't find it funny. All three of them act like idiots sometimes. I rolled my eyes taking my tea from Jeremiah making my way back up to my room. Only to see the third idiot.
Me : Why are you still in my room?
I screwed him putting my tea on my bedside table trying to find a movie to watch.
Romae: I'm doing my work
Me: you've been doing your work for over an hour all you had to do was write one more paragraph.
I think the bath soothed my throat abit since my voice wasn't as bad as it was before
Romae: I keep getting distracted
Me: by what? Your in my room by yourself
Romae: exactly
my eyes widened as I realised he was actually in MY room by himself.
Me: What did you do?
he smirked at me as if I was joking
Me: What did you do!
I started looking around to see if there was any changes.
Romae: Imarni calm down I aint done shit
Me: get out
Romae: what?
Me: You heard me
Romae: why are you being so rude?
Me: you're not staying in here again so get out
he looked at me for a while then packed his books away.
Romae: Alright kool
he left the room finally leaving me in peace.

I searched in my school bag for my phone as I could hear it ringing out. I answered before looking at the caller ID so i didnt miss it.
Me: hello?
? : Hi beautiful
I froze... lord please tell me it is who I think it is.
Me: Tyree?
