Jamal: do you want me to wait for you?
I shook my head putting my coat on since our shift was over. To my luck rihannon walked into the staff room smiling from ear to ear.
Me: I'll leave you two to it.
I left the room only for Jamal to follow behind.
Jamal: I told you there's nothing going on.
Me: and I told you I don't care.
Jamal: then stop treating me like this.
Me: I gotta go.
I walked around going to Costa.
Me: hi.
I smiled as Corey grinned at me pulling me in for a hug then I hugged Romeo.
Me: hi guys.
Romeo: did you just finish your shift too?
Me: yeah. I have a lecture in less than an hour.
Corey: I can drop you home if you like?
Romeo: you still going to Marcus's party later?
Me: yeah, are you coming?
Romeo: yup, why don't you invite your new boyfriend too?
Me: who?
He pointed at Corey making him burst out laughing.
Me: is that what he's been saying?
Corey: now you know I didn't say anything like that.
Romeo: I'm just playing, I'm inviting my boys if that's okay?
Me: that's fine with me.
Romeo: good. I'll see you later unless you want to come in my car?
Corey: na she's good with me.
Romeo winked at me as we went our separate ways.
Corey: so why did you decide to come and see me in the end?
Me: because I think we need to talk.
Corey: about?
Me: about our friendship or potential friendship.
Corey: ouch. Am I too ugly for you?
Me: we both know your not ugly.
Corey: I'll take that as a compliment.
I smiled as we both got into his car to start the journey to my apartment.
Corey: so what is it?
Me: I just need a break from all of this and I like your vibe so I don't want to push you too far away.
Corey: you just wanna friend zone me?
Me: I think we would be good friends though right?
Corey: alright kool. I'll take that.
Me: thank you.
Corey: but you really hurt my feelings. How are you not tempted to get a taste?
I laughed at him since he wouldn't stop stealing glances at me. I can't lie, I do want a taste of him... But I know it's not going to make my life any easier right now.
Me: you're so cocky.
Corey: based on my reviews, I have every reason to be.
Me: you're sounding like a real hoe right now.
He grinned at me shaking his head. We finally arrived at my apartment but I didn't want to leave.
Corey: are you going to get drunk tonight?
Me: why? So you can see me act a fool.
Corey: yeah, I wanna see the real you.
Me: I'll see how I feel.

Corey: what happened in your past relationships?
Me: I'll answer that maybe another time, I need to go or I'll be late for my lecture.

I rolled my eyes as I walked out of my room to see jamal with his laptop bag waiting for me.
Jamal: ready to go to class?
Me: why don't you just give up?
Jamal: because I've decided, I'm going to annoy you into talking to me again.
Me: it's not going to work.
Jamal: well you're no longer giving me the silent treatment so I must be doing something right.
Me: you're eventually going to run out of things to say.
Jamal: well I made a promise to myself that I can't have sex again until you're no longer mad at me.
Me: I hope you've said goodbye to sex forever because that's never going to happen.
Jamal: for real?
I rolled my eyes trying to hide my smile. Coreys put me in a good mood so I can't even be mad a Jamal right now.
Me: 100%
He started singing Mariah Carey-always be my baby making me smile inside my head but on the outside I was still keeping a hard front.
Me: you're so off key, please stop.
Jamal: say you'll forgive me then I'll stop.
He continued singing all the way to our lecture and trust me he didn't stop there. Now I'm starting to get annoyed.
Me: jamal you need to shut up.
He didn't stop so I pushed him against the wall trying to cover his mouth with my hands.
Me: everyday you have people looking at me in the class what is wrong with you?
Jamal: all you gotta do is say you forgive me and I'll stop.
Me: it's not that fucking easy Jamal.
He stopped singing, obviously he sensed that I was getting annoyed because he held onto my hands biting his jaw.
Me: even though we weren't together, I trusted you not to do some dumb shit like that & have me looking stupid but you still did it just to hurt my feelings when I didn't do shit to you.
Jamal: Imarni I said I'm sorry.
Me: no because you think it's a joke but it's not. My feelings aren't a joke.
Jamal: I know that.
Me: then act like it.
Lecturer: are you coming in or are you staying out?
We both started at each other until i eventually walked into the room but he didn't follow behind me. Finally he gets the message.
