Romeo: where's Vanessa?
Me: I don't know she's not answering her phone.
Romeo: alright. Do you want to come back to mine?
Me: yeah.
Romeo: a few of my boys are there too.
Me: as long as I'm away from Jamal I don't care.
Romeo: kool, are you ready to tell me what happened now?
I sighed out telling him the whole story until we got to his house.
Romeo: it just sounds like he was trying to make you jealous and then realised he took it too far.
Me: it hurts even more because I know he doesn't actually like rihannon like that but he's still done it just to get back at me for some reason.
Romeo: it's childish behaviour don't let it get to you.
I agreed with him going into his house. Straight away I could hear a bunch of guys making a load of noise.
Romeo: the game is on, come let me introduce you to the guys.
I held onto his arm walking into the front room where a few guys were sat including a familiar face.
Romeo: right so, this is Samuel, Trey an-
Me: Corey yeah I know.
Corey: what's good Imarni?
I smiled at him awkwardly since I didn't necessarily know him but I guess we've been speaking a little through text.
Romeo: when did you guys meet?
Me: a couple of days ago.
Corey: Imarni was trying to holla at me at the club.
Samuel: it's sexy when a girl knows what she wants and goes to get it.
Me: it definitely wasn't like that.
Corey: I'm playing. You okay though?
Me: yeah I'm good.
Romeo: I've ordered some pizza, is that okay?
Me: yeah it's kool.
Romeo: good.
Me: thank you for doing this.
Romeo: it's all good.

Demari- when are you coming back?
With all the guys screaming and laughing, I forgot the whole reason I was here until demari texted me reminding me of everything. I tapped Romeo to get his attention.
Me: I'm gonna go and lie down.
Romeo: I'll show you where my room is.
Me: thank you. Do you live alone?
Romeo: na me and Sam live together but the other 2 are here most of the time too.
Me: oh, nice.
Romeo: you get some rest & let me know when you're ready to go back.
Me: thank you.
I lay down across his bed calling demari as he left the room.
Demari: you feeling better?
Me: I was until I remembered everything that happened.
Demari: where are you?
Me: at Romeo's.
Demari: alright. Are you not coming back it's almost midnight?
Me: I know I'll come back in a couple hours.
Demari: do you want me to come get you?
Me: no it's okay. I just don't wanna come back yet.
Demari: we can find somewhere to eat before we go back? I'm craving dessert.
I sighed out thinking about what he was saying.
Demari: Marni I know Jamal fucked up and he knows it too. I just wanna be there for you and make sure you're okay.
Me: alright fine. Let's go out.

ROMEOS POV:
Me: are you sure you're okay?
I hugged Imarni again before she left my house leaving me to go back into the front room.
Samuel: has Imarni gone?
Me: yhyh
Corey: what's happening with her and Jamal?
Me: nothing she's single why?
Corey: he doesn't seem to think so.
Me: they're still roommates.
Corey: oh.
Me: why?
Corey: no reason.
Me: she's a good girl don't try it.
Corey: yeah I know. I can tell.
Trey: you trying to make a move?
Corey: I don't know.
Trey: if you don't, I will.
Me: she won't let you fuck her around so don't think you're getting in easy.
Corey: might be worth it right?
Me: isn't Jamal your friend?
Corey: yeah but we're not close. I met Imarni before I knew she was with Jamal.
Me: but it's not him you need to worry about, it's her ex before him.
Corey: why?
Me: I'll let you find out for yourself.
Corey: I like having competition.
Me: just don't fuck her around or you'll have me to answer to.
The only reason I'm so cool with Corey making a move on Marni is because I know he's like me. He might fuck around when he's single but if he's really feeling someone they're his only focus which is what I feel like Imarni needs. Not like her exes that play childish games all of the time.
IMARNIS POV:
demari: you know Jamals sitting up in the house waiting for you to come back.
Me: I don't want to talk to him. Why does he not understand that?
Demari: because he feels guilty.
Me: I don't give a fuck. I don't want to talk to him.
Demari: you can't avoid him forever.
Me: do you wanna bet?
Demari: Imarni trust me. It's better that you talk it out and forgive him because you know he's not going to let you ignore him.
Me: fine. I'll just move out instead.
Demari: no you won't.
Me: what exactly am I supposed to do then? He purposely made me catch him in bed with the same girl that he lied to me about. The same girl he spent the whole of our relationship with 'working on their assignment'. The same girl he told me he no longer sees in that way. He knew exactly what he was doing and he still did it. It's too late to apologise now.
Demari: I get it. I would be mad too if I were you but it's best for all of us if you let it go. Trust me if he wasn't my friend I would've killed him by now but I know how he is. I know that he was just trying to get back at you and didn't actually think about how far he was actually going.
Me: I just don't want to talk to him atleast for now.
Demari: kool. I'll talk to him when we get back but you gotta promise to sort it out by the end of the week.
