Tyree- how's the apartment search going?
I looked down at my phone sighing out. I didn't really want to respond to tyrees text because I was sort of having second thoughts. It's been a few days since I told him I would find another apartment to move to so I'm not living with Jamal and we could try being together again. But I haven't even looked and I haven't told any of my room mates because I know Demari will get mad at me for putting Tyree first and Vanessa will be mad at me for leaving her by herself and jamal would just cut me off completely. But I like where we all are right now because there's no drama.
Me- not good. I haven't been able to find anywhere.
I don't know how long I'm planning on dragging this out for but I know I don't want to move and have to start again with 3 new room mates especially when tyree still doesn't want to tell me who he was on the phone to the other day.
Tyree- Do you need help?
Me- no it's fine.
Tyree- if you're having second thoughts just let me know.
Jamal: what's up with you?
I jumped out of my daydream putting my phone on my lap.
Me: nothing.
He slowly nodded continuing to eat his food. We decided to all go out for lunch since we had nothing better to do but my mind was miles away.
Demari: I think we need a holiday again.
Vanessa: I'm all for that. I've only just started and I've had enough.
Just as I expected Tyree started to call me because I didn't respond to his last text.
Me: I'm coming back, one sec.
I walked out of the restaurant answering the phone.
Tyree: are you?
Me: what?
Tyree: are you having second thoughts?
I sighed out thinking if I should tell him the truth right now or not.
Tyree: imarni talk to me because I'm not trying to get played by you again.
Me: I don't know.
Tyree: what do you mean you don't know? I'm here waiting for you to do what you said you was going to do so we can work on us properly.
Me: I know that. I just don't know.
Tyree: I need you to figure it out right now.
Me: I'm trying.
Tyree: try harder.
Me: don't shout at me Tyree. Instead of doing my uni work I'm constantly thinking about finding somewhere else to stay just to make you happy.
Tyree: to make me happy? Is this not for the both of us? Last time I checked you wanted this too.
Me: that's not what I meant.
Tyree: whatever. I get the message. Go be with him instead.
I put my phone away after he cut me off. It's so hard for me to keep my composure right now and not scream out loud. I need to take a walk.
JAMALS POV:
Me: what's up with imarni?
I directed my attention to Vanessa since I know imarni talks to her about these things.
Vanessa: she seems okay to me.
Me: I know I'm not the only one that sees it and I know you know what it is so tell me.
Demari: is it to do with Tyree?
Vanessa: I swear I don't know and even if I did I won't be telling you her business.
I watched her through the window on her phone until she put it away walking off.
Me: where is she going?
Demari: maybe she just needs some space.
I stood up following her out ignoring demari who was trying to call me back.
Me: Marni?
She started walking faster until I caught her up grabbing her by her waist.
Me: who was that on the phone?
Imarni: nobody.
Me: fine. You don't have to tell me but I'm not letting you go like this.
Imarni: I just need to go back to the apartment and take a nap.
Me: fine, I'm coming back with you.
Imarni: you don't need to do that.
Me: then tell me what's going on.
Imarni: it's nothing.
Me: fine. Let's go home.
She rolled her eyes walking beside me since our apartment was only walking distance.
Imarni: you know you don't have to do this.
Me: I'm done pretending like I can't see you stressing about something.

Imarni: you should come to the party with me and Vanessa tonight.
Me: whose party?
Imarni: does it matter?
Me: yes it does.
I'm finally happy because whatever she was stressing about before is now off of her mind and we're just chilling in her room talking about any and everything.
Imarni: Marcus's
Me: what?
I screwed up my face since she was purposely talking under her breath so I couldn't hear her.
Imarni: I said it's Marcus's party.
Me: you know I won't come to that and since when did you and him get so close?
Imarni: since he apologised.
Me: I hope you guys have fun.
Imarni: thank you. Even though I know you're being sarcastic.
Me: are you ready to talk now?
I watched the smile slowly fade off of her face.
Imarni: no.
Me: why not?
Imarni: I just don't want to.
Me: I'm not going to leave you alone until I find out.
Imarni: fine. what do you want to know?
Me: is it to do with Tyree?
She slowly nodded playing with her fingers.
Me: what happened?
She left my question hanging for a while but I'm not letting this go. I need to know what this is all about.
Imarni: I told him I would move out into a different apartment so we could try again.
Me: because of me?
She slowly nodded again finally looking up at me.
Me: but what happened?
Imarni: but I told him today that I'm not going to do it.
Me: so what does that mean?
She sat staring at me and I couldn't help myself, the silence spoke for itself. I sat up leaning down to her to kiss her and she kissed me back. That means she chose me right?
