Me: is everything okay? Tee told me what happened.
He finally looked at me biting his jaw as if he's angry.
Me: do you want me to leave you alone?
I rolled my eyes getting frustrated at him ignoring me.
Me: Tyree you need to talk to me so I know what you want.
Tyree: I want you.
Me: it's not that simple.
Tyree: why not?
Me: because... I'm with Jamal.
Tyree: since when?
Me: when I got back we made up.
Tyree: so you lied to me?
Me: I didn't want to tell you.
Tyree: so why are you telling me now?
Me: the flowers.
He gave a little smirk tapping on the table.
Me: it's not funny Ty.
His smiled dropped off of his face as he got serious again.
Tyree: why is it so easy for you to brush me aside?
Me: you're not ready for a relationship.
Tyree: how can you tell me that?
Me: you were fucking around right in front of my face.
Tyree: because you were fucking with him behind my back.
Me: no I wasn't.
Tyree: yes you were. You're mad at me because I admitted what I did and here you are still lying to my face.
Me: I have nothing to lie about.
Tyree: do you love him?
Me: I don't know.

Me: you know I do.
Tyree: how, if you've fallen for somebody else?
Me: because I know we're better off as friends.
Tyree: that's never going to work out.
Me: let's try it.
Tyree: then what's going to happen when you come to my house and see another female there?
Me: that's not going to happen unless you do it on purpose like you used to do before we got together to see if I would get jealous.
Tyree: how do you know it's not going to happen?
Me: because I know if you really didn't want to hurt me you would make sure I don't see that stuff.
Tyree: okay fine. Let's try it out.

He slowly nodded staring me dead in my eyes.
Me: that means no more flowers.
Tyree: that's fine.
Me: promise?
He grinned at me.
Tyree: imarni you need to trust me. I already said that's fine.
Me: why have you been in a mood with your family?
Tyree: what?
Me: Tee told me you've been in a mood and that's also why you're back here when the rest of your family is still on holiday.
Tyree: because I thought you were done with me.
Me: but why did you let that affect you and your family?
Tyree: you know me Marni, when something's on my mind I can't pretend to be happy no matter what's going on around me.
Me: is that why you disappeared when you got shot? Because you knew if I saw you I would know something's not right?
Tyree: yes it is.
Me: so are you going to make up with your family now and stop ignoring their calls?
Tyree: maybe.
Me: give me your phone.
He kissed his teeth staring at me until he eventually gave in passing his phone over. I took it sending a message to his sister apologising for him being in a mood and letting her know that he got back safely. I gave him back.
Tyree: she said thanks imarni.
Me: how did she know it was me?
Tyree: because she knows I would never send a message like this.
Me: what are your plans for the rest of the day?
Tyree: well I'm kinda horny so I might see who's available.
I stared at him for a while then stood up to leave.
Me: have fun.
Tyree: I'm joking. Sit back down.
Me: Tyree I'm not playing with you.
Tyree: you said friends right?
Me: yes I did and you know exactly what I meant.
Tyree: it was a joke.
Me: I don't care. I don't want to joke with you about that because I don't find it funny.
Tyree: my bad. I'm sorry.
Me: apology accepted.
Tyree: what are you doing for Christmas?
Me: why?
Tyree: are you coming home?
Me: why?
Tyree: answer my question first.
Me: yes I am.
Tyree: good, me and you are going out for Christmas Eve.
Me: are we?
Tyree: I booked us a table.
Me: where?
Tyree: it's a suprise.
Me: fine.
Tyree: and we are all going out on new years eve as well.
Me: who's we?
Tyree: me, you, Romae, his girl, Jeremiah, Samuel, you can bring Jada and her boy too.
Me: do you not think Jamal will be pissed a-
Tyree: are you picking him over me?
Me: is this how you're going to be?
Tyree: when we were friends we still spent time together.
Me: it's different now.
Tyree: don't be that person that gets into a relationship and forgets all about their friends.
Me: fine, I'll come out on new years eve but I'm inviting Jamal.
Tyree: feel free to invite him.
Me: and you can't start any trouble with him?
Tyree: no deal.
Me: then I'm not coming.
He screwed his face staring back at me.
Me: I'm serious Ty. You know he's not going to be happy about me spending Christmas Eve and New years Eve with you. I can't.
Tyree: I gotta go.
Me: wait.
Tyree: what now?
Me: you came here so we could make up why would you leave now when you're mad at me?
Tyree: I'm not mad at you.
Me: okay keep lying. I'll just go too.
I stood up once again until he grabbed my arm pulling me onto his lap.
Tyree: okay fine I'm mad at you.
Me: and what do you want me to do about that?
Tyree: I'm asking you for 2 days. That's it.
Me: let's meet tomorrow.
Tyree: okay.
Me: I'll text you where and what time.
Tyree: okay friend. I'll see you tomorrow.
