I was now on group facetime with Romeo, Vanessa and Corey since there was still nobody at home.
Vanessa: Marni you need to hurry up and get back here. Jamal and demari just decided to go out without me.
Me: I wish I stayed. If I had someone to drive me I would be back already.
Corey: I've got an idea...
We all stared at him as he started grinning to himself.
Corey: how about I pick you guys up and we all have a party at the new house tonight?
Romeo: sounds like a vibe.
Me: I just changed my clothes though.
Corey: it's kool you look good the way you are.
Me: alright fine. Let me know when you're outside.
Corey: Romeo I'll come get you first so you can show me the way.

I couldn't contain my smile as I watched them all having a dance competition. I'm so happy I came back here instead of going out to the club for tyree's birthday.
Corey: Marni why are you sitting over there? I know you can dance, come join in.
I shook my head screaming as he came over lifting me over his shoulder.
Vanessa: let's do a tik tok.
I rolled my eyes giving in since they were practically forcing me.
Me: fine, just one time.
I lied... One time turned into 100 failed attempts and then we eventually got it. Who knew being sober could be this fun? We ended the night by laying a bunch of duvets and sheets on the front room floor then chilled watching a movie until we all fell asleep.

I sat up squinting my eyes to look at him since the room is so bright.
Corey: do you wanna come with me to get some maccies?
Me: yeah give me 5 minutes.

I went into the bathroom to freshen up then put my cardigan over my pyjamas following him out the house into his car.
Me: you love McDonald's breakfast don't you?
Corey: it's the one main junk food that I eat.
I shook my head answering the facetime request from Taylor.

Me: just on the way to get breakfast.

I turned the phone to him so they could see each other then back to me.
Taylor: he's fine.
Me: he can hear you.
Corey started laughing shaking his head.
Taylor: my bad. You know me and Tee came back to your house last night and guess who we didn't see?
Me: sorry guys.
Taylor: but you know what I did see. The tik tok videos you posted on your Instagram. How do you expect me to lie for you and say you're not at the club because you're not feeling well meanwhile you're on Instagram shaking your booty on this fine man beside you.
I rolled my eyes as Corey bursted out laughing again.
Me: Taylor you're so extra. I wasn't shaking my booty on anybody.
Taylor: I'm just playing.
Me: how was it anyway?
Taylor: it was kool to be honest we didn't stay too long.

He grinned at me shaking his head.
Corey: you don't have to be jealous Marni, I was just asking... No harm intended. Her boyfriend can come too.
Taylor: you guys are hilarious. Of course I'll be there Imarni you can send me the details.
Me: don't worry I will. Are you still with Tee?
Taylor: na I'm at romaes now I'm just gonna hop in the shower. I'll message you alright?

We once again had to park up since our order was too big.
Corey: what was that about?
Me: what?
Corey: 'first of all she has a boyfriend'
I rolled my eyes as he tried to mimick my voice.
Me: it was a joke.
Corey: it didn't sound like a joke, sounded like it was coming from the heart.
Me: you're so extra you know that right?
Corey: I'm just playing with you. But just incase you were being serious... I wouldn't try to make a move on your friend like that.
Me: I have no problem with you moving to my friends, just not the ones with boyfriends. Especially when their boyfriends are also my friend.

Thankfully the food came before it turned awkward.
Corey: are you and Vanessa going back to your old place tonight or you tryna stay another night?
Me: I gotta go back, sleeping on the floor kills my back.
Corey: I mean you can sleep in my bed if you like?
Me: and who do you think will kill me first Jamal or Tyree.
He bursted out laughing shaking his head again as he drove us back to our new place.
Corey: you sound like a player you know that right?
Me: you know it's far from that.

I kissed my teeth brushing his comment off.

Me: you're trying to make it seem like I'm out here hoeing around.

I picked my phone up again since I got a text from Jamal.
Jamal- I'm horny, when are you coming back?
Corey: oh it's like that.
Me: what?
Corey: you know I've got good eyesight right?
I instantly locked my screen.
Corey: that's real crazy.

Me: it's mutual.
