Half way through suits my phone started ringing and of course it was Tyree.
Tyree: you can't run off to uni everytime we fall out.
Me: I'm not running off this is where I live.
I tried to walk out of Jamal's room but he grabbed my hand so I couldn't get off of his bed.
Tyree: you told me you would stay the weekend with me.
Me: and you made me not want to anymore.
Tyree: marni you need to come back.
Me: no. You shouldn't of been messing around.
Tyree: I wasn't doing shit to you.
Me: I told you what you were doing and you still did it.
Tyree: you need to come back.
Me: no.
Tyree: I'm not fucking around with you. Stop acting childish.
Me: I don't know why I actually believed you would be calling to acknowledge what you did and apologise. I don't have time for this.
Tyree: come back here and we can talk.
Me: no, why can't you say it right now. When I was there earlier you didn't give a shit.
The line went silent so I tried to leave the room again I managed to get off the bed but then Jamal hugged me from behind holding me in his arms. Why is he doing this? I didn't say anything to him because I don't want to give Tyree an excuse to flip this on to me because I was in Jamal's room again.
Tyree: I think you're doing this shit on purpose. Why are you over reacting right now?
Me: all I want is for you to acknowledge what you was doing and apologise.
Tyree: come back and I will.
Me: you know what, fuck you.
Tyree: marni do-
Me: I don't have time for your bullshit.
I hung up pushing Jamal off of me.
Jamal: I don't like the way he speaks to you.
Me: it's none of your business.
Jamal: I'm just trying to help you.
Me: I don't need your help.
I walked out going into the kitchen to get some tissue for my eyes.
Demari: what's up with you?
I ignored him as he sat in the living room on the sofa looking over to me. Before I could go to my room he jogged over to me holding onto my waist so I couldn't go.
Demari: and don't tell me it's nothing because I know it's something.
Me: it's just Tyree.
Demari: what else has happened now?
Me: he called me telling me to come back.
Demari: did he apologise?
Me: no he's acting stupid for no reason.
Demari: you only got back a few hours ago so maybe you'll both calm down by tomorrow morning.
Me: I don't even know if I care anymore. As soon as I call him out on something he starts to act differently towards me.
Demari: because we don't like to be called out especially when we're guilty. Just take some time away from each other and he'll start to regret what he did trust me.
Me: he's not the type to regret anything he does.
Demari: trust me, for you he will.
I couldn't help but smile at him. Hopefully what he's saying is right because I don't want to constantly feel like I'm at war with Tyree like I do right now.
Me: thank you.
Demari: you know I've got you.
I smiled again uneasy as we had a awkward moment. He was slowly lowering his face down to mine as I looked up at him letting it happen. I felt his soft lips skim across mine until we both jumped back as Jamal walked around the corner followed by Jada.
Jada: what's happening people? I feel like I haven't seen you all in days.
My heart was racing so fast. I turned my attention from demari who was looking at me to Jamal who was staring demari down. I hope he didn't see what was just happening. It was as if everything was in slow motion until demari broke the silence.
Demari: because you're always with your boyfriend that's why.
Jada: alright, there's no need to be jealous. Hows no sex month going?
Demari: it's only been a just under a week and I'm roasting.
Jada: Jamal hows it going for you?
Jamal: smoothly.
I closed my eyes sighing out as he walked out of the kitchen back into his room. There's no way he didn't just see what happened especially if he's acting like that.
Jada: what's his problem?
Me and demari both looked at each other straight away knowing exactly what his problem was.
Demari: I think you should get ready to be cleaning and cooking for the next month.
Jada: I know you won't last so you need to get your yellow gloves out and start scrubbing the toilets.
I laughed to ease the tension because my heart is still beating quite fast.
Jada: what are you two doing awake anyway? It's almost 2am, wait imarni wasn't you going to see your boyfriend for the weekend?
Me: yeah I missed the last train. Don't you have party planning to do with your boyfriend in the morning?
Jada: yeah I'm going to have breakfast at my baby's before we start setting up.
Demari: lucky you.
She grinned taking a few munchies then walking back to her room leaving me with demari.
Demari: I'm sorry. I don't know what came over me.
Me: it's fine. Nothing happened.
Demari: right.
He nodded tapping onto the counter top.
Demari: I mean this celibacy thing has my mind all over the place.
Me: you don't have to explain yourself to me.
Demari: I think we should call it a night.
