We were now back at uni and I was laying on demaris chest as we all sat in the front room watching a movie. It's almost midnight and we all have lectures in the morning so we had no business being up so late. I sighed out since Tyree tried to facetime me, I declined it texting him to see what he wanted.
Me- can't ft right now what's up?
Tyree- just wanna talk to you about my birthday.
Shit, I completely forgot about that but he's in a relationship now so what is there to say?
Me- what about it?
Tyree- when are you coming so we can go out?
Me- Ty you're supposed to be asking Tianna these questions.
Tyree- I'm asking you.
Me- I'm not coming.
I declined his call again because I know it's only going to be an argument.
Demari: you two beefing again?
Me: he wants me to go out with him for his birthday which is what I said I would do last week but now he's told me he has a girlfriend so I think he should go out with her instead.
Jamal: who are you talking about?
I looked up at Jamal, I didn't realise he could hear us.
Me: nobody.
Jamal: kl, I'm going to go to bed. Goodnight everyone.
I bit my lip as he walked out.
Demari: what happened at his mum's birthday party?
Me: I had a little argument with his older sister because she was stalking my Insta page and saw some comments from Tyree. She came at me asking me who he is & basically saying I'm playing Jamal.
Vanessa: but you and Jamal aren't together?
Me: I know but his family doesn't know that so I just walked out of the house and went to my mum's.
Demari: has he told his family now?
Me: I don't know. I haven't spoken to him since the argument last night.
Demari: okay let me go talk to him right now to make sure he's good cause he's been quiet since I picked you both up this morning.
I leaned off of him so he could go into Jamals room leaving me with Vanessa.
Vanessa: so what's this going on with Tyree now?
Me: he's just annoying me as usual.
Vanessa: he loves you.
Me: I'm over it now. He's with somebody else.
Vanessa: you know that won't last.
Me: &I don't want to be the reason why it ends so I'm just trying to distance myself.
Vanessa: I get you. Also, Corey and Trey called me about us moving in with them.
Me: I thought I told him it was a bad idea?
Vanessa: why don't you want to?
Me: I don't know.
Vanessa: I went to go see the place they're moving into, it's huge. I think we should do it.
Me: I'll see.
Vanessa: we only have a few weeks to decide.
Me: Jamal and demari aren't happy about it.
Vanessa: I know. Jamals still trying to make me change your mind.
I was about to decline the call that was coming in again but I realised it's Taylor.
Me: hi Taylor.
Taylor: just a warning. Tiannas planning a suprise dinner for Tyrees birthday on Saturday, I told her that you and Tyree don't talk much but she still wants you there so she should be calling you any minute now.
Me: how did she get my number?
Taylor: your brother.
I kissed my teeth mentally cursing Jeremiah out.
Me: thanks for the heads up.
I hung up looking at Vanessa.
Me: can we arrange to meet with Corey and Trey to talk about it this week then?
Vanessa: Yaay, I'll talk to them and let you know.
She jumped on me hugging me.
Vanessa: I'm gonna call my boyfriend and go to sleep.
Me: alright, I'll see you in the morning.
Just as Taylor said, an unsaved number started calling me.
Me: hello?
Tianna: hi Imarni, it's Tianna Tyree's girlfriend we met at your mum's birthday party.
Me: I remember are you okay?
Tianna: yes thank you. I just wanted to call you about Tyrees birthday next week. I know it's short notice but I've arranged for his friends to all meet up for a quick meal. I know you and Ty don't talk a lot but you're friends with his sister right?
Me: right, that's fine. Just send the details across.
Tianna: perfect thank you.
Me: no problem, goodnight.
I hung up calling Tyree.
Tyree: why are you going back onto your own words?
Me: Ty you know you're wrong for this. You need to speak to Tianna and arrange to go out with her because I'm not coming.
Tyree: you promised me you would.
Me: you're in a relationship.
Tyree: we're not fucking Imarni. I just want to spend some time with you.
Me: on your birthday? Does Tianna know about this?
Tyree: why are you being so difficult, you said we can be friends.
Me: I lied.
Tyree: I just want you to come down on Saturday so we can chill & then go out to eat, you don't have uni and I know you don't have work so you have no excuses.
Me: Ty. I'm not coming.
I sighed out as he hung up on me.
Jamal: everything okay?
I almost jumped out of my skin as Jamal stood in the kitchen making a hot drink I could've swore he went to bed?
Me: everything's fine.
Jamal: would you like a hot chocolate?
Me: I'm good thanks.
Jamal: can we talk?
Me: I don't think it's a good time right now.
Jamal: I told my mum that we broke up.
Me: what did she say?
Jamal: she said she knew something was going on and of course my little sister wasn't too happy about it.
Me: thank you.
Jamal: after Jayla started on you I knew I had to tell them.
Me: I'm sorry I just left, I just didn't want it to get serious.
Jamal: it's fine, I get why you did it.
Me: I'm gonna go to sleep. Goodnight.
Jamal: wait Marni.
I stopped in my tracks as he came up to me pulling me back by my waist.
Jamal: have you found somewhere to move to now?
Me: yeah kind've.
Jamal: where?
Me: I don't know where it is but Vanessa said it's much bigger than here so we'll have our own space.
Jamal: just you two?
I shook my head looking back at him thinking whether it would be a good idea to tell him the truth.
Me: have you and demari decided what you're going to do?
Jamal: yeah, we're going to move into a smaller place for just us two.
Me: sounds good.
Jamal: who are you two moving in with?
Me: just Corey and Trey.
Jamal: Corey? The guy you approached that night at the club?
Me: yeah...
