JAMAL'S POV:
I kissed imarni on the cheek, spudded Marcus then left to go to the library with Rhiannon since she didn't care too much about doing anything else.
Me: what's up with you?
Rhiannon: can we just do some work?
Me: alright kool.
I took my laptop out putting it on the table.
Me: where should we start?
Rhiannon: since when did you get a girlfriend?
Me: I thought you wanted to do work?
Rhiannon: answer my question first.
Me: about a week ago.
Rhiannon: I think we both need to do our assignments separately but we can do the research together right?
Me: yeah. Sounds good to me.
Rhiannon: kool.
I watched her as she sat not doing or saying anything else.
Me: is there something wrong?
Rhiannon: you tell me?
Me: well you wasn't acting like this the last time we met up so what's changed?
Rhiannon: it's a new day.
I grinned as she smiled at me sarcastically. Why do I have to partner with her?
Me: do you have something to get off your chest or can you take your laptop out so we can start our work?
She rolled her eyes taking her laptop out coming to sit next to me.
Me: thank you.
Rhiannon: does your girl know you're a hoe?
Me: I'm not a hoe.
Rhiannon: yes you are.
I ignored her comments taking out my notepad.
Me: can we go through what needs to be done please?

IMARNIS POV:
Me: what's up with her?
Marcus: lord knows. She hates me and I don't even know why.
Me: you said I would like her, what does that mean?
Marcus: nothing.
Me: I know you were being sarcastic so don't lie to me.
Marcus: She just has a difficult personality.
Me: what's that got to do with me?
Marcus: you're right. I don't know.
I squinted my eyes at him since I know he's hiding something but we have work to do. I don't have time to be investigating right now.

Jamal: you're home late.
Me: because we actually got some work done. How did yours go?
Jamal: you saw how moody she was. I couldn't deal with that for longer than 2 hours.
Me: Jamal. How are you going to get your assignment completed in time if you do that?
Jamal: why couldn't I be partnered with you?
I laughed lying down on him as he lay on the sofa.
Me: too bad. You just have to deal with it.
Jamal: why are you so mean to me?
He stuck his bottom lip out while squeezing my bottom with both hands.
Me: I didn't know you knew Marcus.
Jamal: yeah. I pretty much met at least half of the university students in fresher's week. You should've came for the whole week instead of being anti social and only coming for one day.
Me: I know but I don't wanna get too caught up in the party and drama side of things and not actually do my work on time.
Jamal: it's good you've got your priorities in check.
Demari: is this what I'm going to be seeing from now on every time I come into the front room?
Jamal: get used to it.
Me: how was your date yesterday?
Demari: it wasn't a date.
Jamal: did you get in?
Demari: Na. She left after a few hours.
Jamal: isn't that the whole reason she came over?
Demari: yes but she wasn't putting out.
Me: good. You can't just use girls like that.
Demari: so I went to Jada's room instead.
My jaw dropped as he grinned at me making Jamal scream.
Jamal: how the fuck did you manage that? I thought she hates you.
Demari: she can't deny that we have good sex. So we've agreed to keep it at that level until one of us gets into a relationship with somebody else.
Me: so you're friends with benefits?
Demari: more like fuck buddy's. We can't stand each other outside of the bedroom.
Me: I need to speak to Jada about that.
Demari: don't mess it up for me Marni. You know I can't function properly without regular sex.
Me: I just wanna make sure she's happy doing that.

Throughout the whole day tyree hasn't crossed my mind once which for some reason I feel guilty for but now that I'm in my bed alone he's all I can think about. I needed to give him back the promise ring so we can get some sort of closure because I know he still feels entitled to me even though we broke up weeks ago. I know if I see him with somebody else I will feel a way about it but I wouldn't stop him like he's trying to do to me. So I guess giving him the ring back would make it more clear to him and hopefully we can talk about us moving forward as friends or nothing at all. But I just know it's easier said than done.
