I grabbed her into a hug since she was trying to push me out of the way.

Rhiannon: if you didn't want to hurt me you shouldn't of rejected me, got with somebody else then introduce me to her like I'm nothing and without even speaking to me about it first.
Me: is that what this is all about ?
Rhiannon: you knew that I still had feelings for you.
Me: how was I supposed to know that? It's been months since I last spoke to you.
Rhiannon: so what?
Me: Ri. I'm sorry about what happened. If you want me to find you a new partner for this assignment I understand but just know I didn't hurt you on purpose.
She sighed out as I let her go.

Me: what was Jamal like before we met?
Demari: what do you mean?
Me: what was he like?
Demari: Marni if you're talking about what I said the other day then don't worry about it.
Me: Marcus basically told me the same thing you said so I know it's true.
Demari: you can clearly see Jamal has feelings for you. If he was messing you around you know I would be the first person to question him on it.

I sighed out as he pulled me into a hug.
Demari: I know he's my boy but you're my sister from another mister I wouldn't have you looking stupid trust me.

Demari: where is he anyway?
Me: he went to go and see Rhiannon about an hour ago.
Demari: oh. What for?
Me: they're doing their assignment.
Demari: they're partnered together?
Me: yeah why?
Demari: nothing.
Me: sounds like you're concerned?
He forced a smile as my phone started to ring on the side so I answered it.
Me: hello?
Jada: can you come and get your ex before I get fired?

Jada: yes. He's back.
Me: is he with somebody?
Jada: no.

Me: are you okay?
He ignored my existence as I sat down at the table opposite him.
Me: tyree?
Tyree: imarni I'm not in the mood.
Me: did something happen?
He ignored me again so I went and sat next to him holding onto his thigh.
Me: tell me what's up.
Tyree: nothing I'm good.
Me: i know you came here for a reason tyree so just talk to me.
Tyree: I didn't tell you to come here.
Me: you live over an hour away why else would you come all the way down here?
He chuckled shaking his head.
Me: so instead of acting like nothings wrong. Tell me what's up so we can sort it o-
Tyree: I miss you.
Me: I miss you too.
Tyree: no you don't because if you did I would of heard from you.
Me: that's not how break ups work.
Tyree: we wouldn't of broken up if you didn't replace me.
Me: I haven't replaced you Ty you know I can't do that.
Tyree: then let me speak to him.
Me: no.
Tyree: exactly.
Me: I said no because I know you'll make something out of nothing.
Tyree: the fact that you knew exactly who I was talking about proves my point.
Me: tyree I've known you all my life. You can't be replaced.
Tyree: then why have you ghosted from me?
Me: because everytime we talk we argue and I hate that. If I knew we could go back to being friends then I would do that with no doubt but I don't think you want that.
Tyree: of course not. I chased you down to be with me why would I settle back down as friends now?
Me: because it didn't work out.
Tyree: can you honestly say you're okay with me moving on with somebody else?
Me: I know you're not the relationship type so I can't see that happening anytime soon.
Tyree: I'm not that person anymore. I'm done playing games imarni.
Me: so are you telling me right now that you're going to move on?
Tyree: you tell me what you want me to do?
JAMALS POV:
I walked back into our apartment sitting on the sofa across from demari.
Me: what's up, where is everyone?
Demari: Jada's at work. I think Marni's gone down there too. Where you coming from?
Me: had to go see Rhiannon cause we're working together on our next assignment.
Demari: Rhiannon from college?
I slowly nodded as he raised his eyebrows at me.
Me: it's not even like that.
Demari: does imarni know who she is?
Me: they've met.
Demari: that's not what I said.
Me: I'm not trying to give her another reason to not trust me.
Demari: then tell her before she finds out another way because you know she will.
Me: nothing happened between me and Rhiannon anyway.
Demari: the girl loved you to death throughout the whole last year of college. I know you fucked a few times too.
Me: I got it all handled don't worry.
Demari: trust me, you need to tell imarni about her.
