Corey- good morning Jessica, how are you feeling?
I chuckled at the text from Corey getting up to get ready for work since I didn't have any classes until later. He spent the whole of yesterday calling me Jessica even though I've told him my real name.
Me: hey I'm good thank you.
I froze contemplating whether I should answer his facetime request. I was eating my breakfast alone in the kitchen since it's 6am so I did.
Me: hi Susan.
He bursted out laughing shaking his head.
Corey: you know I call you Jessica because you told me that was your name.
Me: because I didn't know you. Why would I give you my real name?
Corey: I gave you mine. Was it not love at first sight for you?
I rolled my eyes making him laugh again. I wasn't about to tell him this but his voice made me feel some type of way. He has a real deep voice especially when he's just woken up.
Corey: I'm just playing with you. Where are you going so early?
Me: I have to go to work before my lecture.
Corey: where do you work?
Me: at footlocker.
Corey: what time do you finish?
Me: 1pm then my class is at 2.
Corey: I'll come and say hello. Is that okay?
Me: I suppose so.
Corey: don't act like you don't want to see my beautiful face.
I grinned shaking my head until Jamal walked in his boxer shorts still half asleep. I took my phone up so he couldn't see Corey on the screen taking it into the front room.
Me: I'll see you later Susan.
Corey: alright, enjoy your day.
Me: you too.
I hung up going back into the kitchen to clean up all of my mess.
Jamal: your friend Susan has a deep voice.
I rolled my eyes trying to be quicker since demari isn't awake to keep the peace.
Jamal: how long are we going to do this for because I'm over it? I said I'm sorry what more do you want me to do?
I finally put my plate away heading to my bathroom but he pulled me by my waist back towards him.
Jamal: we've got work and a lecture together. How long are you going to keep this act up?
Me: when I said I don't want to speak to you again, I meant it.
I walked around him to go and get ready for work. My pride wouldn't allow me to just act like what he did didn't hurt the shit out of me especially since he did it on purpose.
Jamal: Imarni.
Me: Jamal leave me the fuck alone.
I closed my eyes trying my hardest not to punch him. He now had me up against the wall so I couldn't move.
Jamal: stop being childish. I know I fucked up but you can't just act like I no longer exist. I'm sorry I did what I did. I was just trying to get back at you and I know I shouldn't of did it. You know I love you and I wouldn't purposely try to hurt you. If I could take it back you know I would 100%.
Me: it's fine, you're perfect for each other. Don't let me block your blessings.
Jamal: you know I don't want Rhiannon.
Me: you clearly do.
Jamal: Imarni.
I tried to push him off of my but it didn't work.
Me: I'm going to be late for work.
Jamal: I don't care. This is more important to me.
I was starting to get upset about everything happening and I hate that he can see me right now.
Jamal: who was you just on the phone to?
Me: none of your business.
Jamal: you said you would start being honest with me.
Me: no fuck you. I don't care about you anymore, you don't need to know my shit.
Jamal: how can you just switch up on me like that?
Me: because you did what you did on purpose.
Jamal: I'm trying to make it better.
Me: the only way you can make it better is to leave me alone or I'll make it easier for you and move out.
Jamal: and you think that would stop me?
Me: I'm done with you Jamal. I don't want to be with you and I don't want to be your friend.
Jamal: don't say that if you don't mean it. I know I hurt you but don't try she hurt me back like this.
He started wiping my tears away and I let my guard down finally letting him.
Jamal: I'm sorry for what I did, please stop being like this.

As soon as I got to work I texted Corey because I don't think it's the right thing if he came today. Especially since Jamal is here too.
Corey- why what happened?
Me- I just don't think it's a good idea.
Corey- can I take you out tonight?
Me- I'm sorry, I can't.
Corey- alright. I'm going to be at Romeo's work when your shift is over, if I don't see you there then I get the message.
I sighed out thinking about it. I know it's too soon for me to start again with somebody else especially with all this going on with Jamal and even Tyree but am I really going to pass up an opportunity with Corey?
