IMARNI'S POV:
I still haven't gone back to uni yet, instead I'm in nandos with Taylor.
Me: did Jeremiah ask you to do this?
Taylor: maybe.
I rolled my eyes eating my food.
Taylor: he's just worried about you and doesn't want you and Tyree to start fighting again because it would put him in an awkward position.
Me: I know but we're just friends.
Taylor: and you can honestly say you believe Tyree is happy with being just friends?
Me: he has no choice because we've tried being together and it didn't work out.
Taylor: that doesn't mean you can't try again.
Me: are you on his side?
Taylor: no I'm just saying because I guarantee it's going to happen eventually.
Me: it won't.
Taylor: you're really underestimating Tyree.
Me: I'm trying to do what's best for everyone.
Taylor: you know I spoke with Tyree at your mum's party and he told me he wants you back.
Me: I know but it's not going to happen.
Taylor: but you're still messing around together right?
Me: that doesn't mean anything, we're still not getting back together.
Taylor: we'll see how this plays out then.
I nodded taking my phone out since Tyree is calling me.
Me: what's up?
Tyree: what time are you coming back?
Me: later why?
Tyree: I'm going out but I wanna know what time you want me to drop you back to uni?
Me: it's fine I'll make my own way.
Tyree: na it's kool, I got you, just let me know the time?
Me: Ty, it's okay.
Tyree: why? what happened?
Me: nothing I gotta go.
I hung up biting my lip.
Taylor: I'm guessing that was Ty?
Me: yup.
Taylor: he's calling me now.
Me: don't answer it.
Taylor: so your game plan is to push him away now?
Me: maybe you're right. We're getting too comfortable with each other so I'm trying to take a step back from him.
Taylor: and you think he's going to just let you do that?
Me: it's not his decision to make.

After eating out with Taylor I caught the train straight back to uni instead of going back home because I know Tyree would be there waiting for me.
Demari: where did you disappear to?
Me: I went back home.
Demari: why, what happened?
Me: nothing I just missed my family.
Demari: oh that's kool. I need to talk to you.
Me: about what?
Demari: about my friend Jamal.
I gave him the side eye ignoring what he said.
Me: where's Vanessa?
Demari: at her boyfriends & Jamal's at work.
Me: I didn't ask.
Demari: he finished not long ago so we can either talk about this now or in 20 minutes when he's back.
Me: what is there to talk about? I've already said I'm done with him.
Demari: you're fucking up the vibe in the house Marni you can't do that.
Me: how?
Demari: because it's just tense and awkward. You need to talk to him.
Me: no.
Demari: I'm not saying you should become friends again but just talk to him properly, let him know that you forgive him so we can at least all be in one room together without it being awkward.
Me: fine, I'll talk to him but you owe me.
Demari: this is for your own good.
Me: no this is to make him feel better. It doesn't benefit me in any way, I've still gotta go to work and see him and Rhiannon.
Demari: you know he doesn't want her.
Me: he still did it.
Demari: kool. Just do what I said.

Before Jamal came back home I decided to leave to go get some dessert, on my way there I texted Corey to see if he would meet me at the restaurant and thankfully he did because I need some friendly advice.
Me: so... You asked me about my past relationships.
Corey: and are you going to tell me now?
Me: yup.
Corey: starting with your ex before Jamal.
Me: yup. His name's Tyree.
Corey: so he's the Ty you were calling the other night telling him you love him?
Me: yup that's him... We were close as just friends from before I could even walk. He's my brother's best friend and then a couple of years ago we got together. It wasn't official until I started uni but the whole relationship was toxic because he assumed there was something going on with me and Jamal before anything even happened so of course we broke up and I got with Jamal but Tyree still decided not to acknowledge him being my boyfriend and I can't even lie I still slightly entertained him whenever I went back home and saw him.
Corey: so now that you're not with Jamal what's happening?
Me: as you know me and Ty still talk and I don't talk to Jamal at all even though demaris pressuring me to.
Corey: I think you should. Everyone makes mistakes and you can only hold a grudge for so long.
Me: fine, I promised demari I would talk to Jamal so I will. But I don't know what to do about this Tyree situation.
Corey: you can start off by stop calling him to tell him you love him in the middle of the night.
Me: I was drunk.
Corey: you still sleeping together?
I gave him the side eye making him burst out laughing.
Corey: you called me here for my opinion so you can decide whether you want to tell the truth or not.
Me: yes we are.
Corey: you know what you need to do if you want to just be friends with him so why are you asking me?
Me: because it's hard. I have everyone telling me what to do with Jamal and Tyree but no one cares about how I feel.
Corey: if it's that hard why don't you just get with him again?
Me: whilst I'm still living with Jamal? That's impossible.
Corey: okay how about this, cut out the extra shit like you sleeping together, calling his phone when you're drunk for atleast a month and see how you feel.
Me: and then what?
Corey: and then you'll know if you really want to just be friends with him or more.
