Jamal decided to do some over time at work so I was waiting at Costa coffee for Marcus since we agreed to do some more work on our uni work while I wait for Jamal. I got here a little early because I wanted to speak to Romeo about what Jada was saying to see if he's up for it.
I'm now waiting for Romeo to come back with my drink since he told me to sit down and wait for him.
Romeo: I'm going to have to get a restraining order against you.
I laughed taking the drink as he sat down opposite me.
Me: you know I work a few doors down stop being dramatic.
Romeo: I'm just messing with you. You look happier today.
Me: I am.
Romeo: was that your boyfriend that i saw?
Me: Jamal, yeah he's at work right now.
Romeo: yeah he seems like your type.
Me: what does that mean?
Romeo: you like the over protective type.
Me: not necessarily.
He raised his eyebrow at me so I brushed off whatever he was saying.
Me: anyways. I have a favour to ask you.
Romeo: and what's that?
Me: your friend Cameron...
Romeo: how do you know him?
Me: he's my friends ex, she wants him back and she needs our help.
Romeo: Jada?
Me: yup.
Romeo: imarni she fucked another guy while they were together.
Me: I know she messed up but she really does love him.
Romeo: na. If you love and want to be with someone you would treat them like it. How can you love someone and give your body away to an outsider?
Me: I get what you're saying but I know she regrets everything she did wrong.
Romeo: good because she should.
This is going to be much harder than I expected. Why did I think he was just going to agree with what I was saying? But at the same time, I do get what he's saying because if the tables were turned I would act the same as he is right now.
Me: I know Cameron had strong feelings for Jada.
Romeo: they disappeared as soon as she fucked up.
Me: Romeo that's not possible.
Romeo: look, I need to go.
I nodded as he stood up walking away behind the counter, I guess I'll just wait for Marcus to come.

We were now an hour into working on our assignment when Marcus decided to change the subject.
Marcus: so how's you and Jamal going?
Me: fine why?
Marcus: just trying to make conversation.
Me: so you can go back and tell Jamal everything I say?
Marcus: imarni he asked me what happened because you were upset that day. I didn't just run and tell him anything.
Me: whatever.
Marcus: I'm being serious. I don't want any trouble with you.
Me: fine I forgive you.
It fell into an awkward silence until he started tapping his pen on the table.
Marcus: I heard you find out about Rhiannon.
Me: so what?
Marcus: I'm just saying
Me: just saying what? I asked you about her and you acted like you didn't know what I was talking about so I don't understand why you're trying to have this conversation with me now.
Marcus: because I didn't want to be the one to tell you.
Me: no, instead you wanted me to look like an idiot just like Jamal and the rest of his stupid friends.
Marcus: did you just call me stupid?
Me: yes I did.
Me and Marcus started having a death stare match until I saw Jamal walking up to us.
Jamal: how long are you guys going to be?
Me: we're done.
I packed my things up walking away.
JAMALS POV:
I stood confused as imarni picked her laptop and bag up walking out of the shop.
Me: what happened?
Marcus: nothing don't worry.
Me: na, tell me what's going on?
Marcus: I just said it's nothing.
Me: this isn't the first time I've walked in on you two screwing each other then Marni walks off in a mood.
Marcus: go and ask her.
Me: no I'm asking you. What the fuck happened?
I started biting my jaw as he stood up in front of me.
Marcus: I haven't done shit.
Me: so why the fuck did she just walk out?
Marcus: because she has a bad temper you need to check that.
Just as I was about to punch him one of the barista came and stood in-between us facing me. I screwed him since he was the guy that I saw with imarni the other day.
?: You need to leave the shop.
Me: or what?
?: Are you sure imarnis going to approve of this?
I looked at his name tag taking note of his name then walked out. How does he even know imarni for him to be mentioning her to me like that?

Me: how does the barista know you're name?
Imarni: I don't know.
Me: don't lie to me imarni.
I turned to her screwing as we both sat in the Uber on the way back to the apartment.
Imarni: out of everything that just happened, that's what you're worried about?
Me: what happened between you and Marcus then?
Imarni: I told him he's stupid for lying to me about you and Rhiannon.
Me: Marni you can't do that. That's my boy of course he's going to be on my side.
Imarni: and I just let him know he's stupid for that.
Me: so why did you storm out?
Imarni: because he's stupid.
I couldn't help but laugh.
Me: you're so childish Marni.
Imarni: I can't stand his stupid face.
