IMARNIS POV:
I sat on my bed trying to control my breathing after packing my bags to go back home for a few days. I called romae to come and get me over an hour ago so he shouldn't be too far away now. Demari finally stopped banging on my bedroom door so as soon as romae calls I'll be out the door hopefully with no more drama. I should've known there was more to Jamal than what he was telling me but I was too naive to see it. I guess it's my own fault and I trusted demari as my friend to let me know but clearly he was on Jamal's side.
I looked out of the window as romae called my phone.
Me: hello?
Romae: I'm outside. Do you want me to come up?
Me: no. I'll come out.
Tyree: I'm coming up.
My heart stopped as I heard a voice in the background. It sounded a lot like Tyree.
Me: romae. Who is that?
Before he answered I saw them both get out of the car from the window so I threw my phone on my bed walking out to the front door before someone else got it.
Romae: what happened?
Me: nothing.
Tyree: it didn't sound like nothing on the phone.
Me: why are you even here?
I looked at him screwing I know he only came here to start something.
Tyree: tell me what happened or I'm coming in.
Romae: Tyree chill, there's no point starting any drama.
Tyree: why were you crying?
Demari: who's at the door?
I tried and failed to push Tyree back as he walked inside after hearing demaris voice. I looked back at romae as he gave me an apologetic look.
Me: why did you bring him here?
Romae: it wasn't my choice I swear.
Me: he needs to leave.
Romae: tell me what happened?
TYREES POV:
Me: who made her cry?
Demari: don't worry. I'm sorting it out.
Me: fuck that. I want to know what happened.
Demari: nothing happened.
Me: so why the fuck was she crying?
I walked past him going to Jamal's room since he wasn't telling me anything. As soon as Jamal saw me he stood up looking like he was ready to throw fists.
Me: what did you do to her?
Jamal: get out my house.
I chuckled walking closer to him.
Me: answer my question and I'll leave.
Romae: bro, let's go.
Me: I'm not done.
Romae: imarni walked out.
Me: what?
Romae: let's fucking go, I don't have time for this.
I kissed my teeth looking back at Jamal.
Me: if I find out you hurt her I'm coming back for you.
I followed romae back out to his car.
Me: I know where she's gone. Drop me to the café down the road.
Romae: let me talk to her.
Me: no I got this.
Romae: the reason she left in the first place is because of you.
Me: I said I got this.
He kissed his teeth as I got out of his car going up to the café. She was sitting at a table in the corner with Jada. Jada saw me first and stood up so I could sit down.
Me: thank you.
Imarnis head shot up as soon as she heard my voice.
Imarni: please leave me alone.
Me: why are you being like this right now? Is it because you saw me with another female?
Imarni: I don't care about that.
Me: then why are you treating me like I'm nothing? I came down here to help you because you sounded upset on the phone but you're throwing it back in my face making it seem like I'm the problem.
Imarni: I called romae, not you.
Me: are you serious right now?
Imarni: I didn't want you to come here and try and start any fights with my roommates again.
Me: I just want to know what happened.
Imarni: I don't want to talk about it.
Me: kool.
I stood up going across to the counter so I could speak to Jada.
Me: tell me what happened.
Jada: I can't.
Me: she won't know you told me. I just need to know.
Jada: I'm only telling you because Jamal deserves whatever is coming to him... He has been lying to her about all the girls in our uni that he's slept with. Now she thinks he's cheating on her with a girl that he's been working with for the past month.
Me: kool. Thank you. Can I have a hot chocolate please?
I had to make it seem like I actually ordered something. After I got my hot chocolate I walked back over to imarni.
Me: here, take this. Let's go.
Imarni: thank you.
She led the way back to romaes car.
Me: do you need to go back to your apartment?
Imarni: I need my phone.
Me: where is it?
Imarni: on my bed.
Me: I'll get it.
Imarni: Tyree no-
Me: I won't do anything.
I got out of the car as it stopped outside of the apartments. Demari opened the door raising his eyebrows.
Me: I'm just getting her phone.
Demari: your eyes are telling me something different.
I pushed passed him going into imarnis room to get her phone. Then I made my way to Jamal's room.
Jamal: what the fuck?
Me: I told you I'll be back.
I went up to him punching him a few times then I grabbed his neck as he tried to fight back.
Me: I told you not to mess with imarni.
Jamal: I didn't do shit to her.
Me: that's not what I was told.
I finally let him go since demari was trying to pull me off and I didn't have much time before imarni starts to worry. I jogged out of the door to be met with imarni at the entrance.
Imarni: why did it take so long?
Me: I needed the toilet.
She looked at me in my eyes taking her phone out of my hands. Hopefully she doesn't find out what I was actually doing.
