Me and Jada sat in the club laughing to ourselves watching demari and Jamal dancing with some random girls. About 10 minutes into it Jada stood up grinning to herself.
Me: what is it?
Jada: my boyfriend is here.
I watched her as she walked off out of my view straight away some guy came and sat where Jada was.
?: Do you wanna dance?
I shook my head. I wasn't drunk enough to be dancing with some random stranger but at the same time I didn't want to drink cause I have a morning lecture.
?: So you came here to sit and watch?
Me: actually I got forced to come.
He started laughing moving closer to me.
?: I'm guessing you're not a party girl then?
Me: how did you know?
I replied sarcastically making him burst out laughing even more.
?: Do you wanna go back to campus and chill then?
Me: I do but not with you.
?: What's wrong with me?
Me: how did you even know I'm from the uni?

I rolled my eyes since he was starting to sound stalkish.
Me: I've never seen you before.
?: What's your name?
Me: my name is Jessica.
?: Alright Jessica, I'll see you around.
He winked at me walking off so I went up to Jamal grabbing his arm since it's almost 1am meaning it's time to go.
Jamal: Marni gimmie 2 seconds. I'm coming.

Me: it's about time!
I wrapped my arm around Jamal's as he finally came out of the club so we could make our way back to campus.
Jamal: you know I was gonna secure some pussy tonight.
Me: you don't even know the girl.
Jamal: that's the best part.
Me: you're so disgusting.
Jamal: this is the whole reason I came to uni.
Me: oh so you didn't come to get an education?
He looked at me laughing.

Jamal: there's no way you're innocent when your boy came all the way down here looking for me when all I did was send you a text message.
Me: what does that mean?

I nodded walking through our door.
Jamal: exactly so why does he feel he's in control of who you can and can't talk to.

Jamal: I think I can handle him. How old is he?
Me: don't try it. He's 22 next Monday.
Jamal: that's fine with me. I can still take him.
I laughed shaking my head.
Me: you're too much. I'll see you in the morning.

It's 2am and I was up texting Tyree since for some reason I couldn't sleep. I went into the kitchen since I could hear demari looking for snacks.
Demari: you can't sleep either?
I nodded taking some of his food.
Demari: I'm watching a movie in my room if you wanna come watch it with me?
Me: alright I'll see you there.
I got into his bed looking at my phone again.
Tyree- when can I come and see you?
Me- I'll let you know
Tyree- this weekend?
Me- Ty I told you how it's gonna be.
Tyree- but what about me?
Me- this has nothing to do with you.
Tyree- you let me in. You can't just push me away right now.
I sighed out not knowing what to say. I wasn't about to start an argument over text.
Demari: your boy?
I nodded texting Tyree back.
Me- I don't have energy for this goodnight.
I looked at demari as Tyree called me.
Demari: just let him love you.
Me: no, you don't understand.
I got off his bed sitting on his sofa so the Tv wouldn't be too loud in the phone.
Me: hello?
Tyree: Why are you still doing this?
Me: can we be friends?
Tyree: give me a good reason as to why and I'll say yes?
Me: I just want things between us back to normal.
Tyree: that's never gonna happen now that you know how I feel.
Me: you know I need to focus on uni right now.
Tyree: I get that. I can help you with that. You don't have to push me away.
Me: you don't understand.
Tyree: because you're not seeing it from my perspective. I need you. You know im not asking much from you. And you know I won't hurt you.
Me: I don't know that.
Tyree: let me show you.
Demari: Marni what's going on?
He got up pulling me into a hug.
Tyree: who is that?
Me: I gotta go.
Tyree: don-
I hung up turning my phone off.
Demari: what's really going on between you two?
Me: I told him we should be just friends.
Demari: why?
Me: because I want to focus on my work.
Demari: can't you do that while you're together?
Me: no because I already know he's gonna start complaining about me not spending enough time with him and he's going to think I'm up to something with random guys just like he did with Jamal. I ain't gonna have time to worry about him like that.
Demari: you know it's not easy for someone to just brush their feelings aside.
Me: if he cares he will do it.
