A/N : short and sweet!

"Elvis? What's going on?" You asked with a little giggle, his hands on your eyes as he guided you past a corridor. His deep voice rumbled behind you as he laughed, a hand snaking down to tickle your side. You moved away with a laugh.

"One second, little mama." Elvis said, guiding you around another corner. Last time you checked your house did not have so many walls, you wondered if he was purposefully making this journey more perilous. Suddenly his hot breath was against your ear as he whispered, "so impatient."

You tried to ignore the shudder that ran down your spine and focused on not tripping since you couldn't see the floor in front of you. Elvis stopped you abruptly, spun you twice in his arms then removed his hands.

In front of you, your living room was completely covered in pink and black decorations. Your family and friends, including Elvis's family, were all standing with stupid little hats stuck to their heads and screaming "surprise!" As loud as they could. Your hand went to your heart in surprise as you took in what must have been 30+ people crammed in a room to honor, well you didn't quite know what they were honoring. Elvis hadn't explained why he told you to dress nice or why he'd guided you to what seemed to be a surprise party.

"Oh how lovely!" You said, managing a grin despite your confusion. "Elvis-"

You spun to look at Elvis and ask him what this was all about, but what you saw took the very breath from your lungs. Dressed in a nice black shirt tucked into black slacks, Elvis Presley kneeled on one knee, holding a small little blue case in his hand. He popped it open and a sweet Diamond ring sat on the cream cushions. You gasped more, completely shocked and overwhelmed.

"Y/N L/N, I know we ain't been dating too long but I known ya for years. And I loved ya for years. Doll -"

You fell to your knees in front of him, tears already streaming down your face. You held his hands in yours as he continued, seemingly unphased by you coming to his level.

"I ain't ever loved someone the way I love you." his voice cracked and he flushed. "Sorry, getting tongue tied. Will you do me the greatest honor of becoming my wife?"

"Yes Elvis. Yes, yes, yes!" You said quickly, nearly tossing the ring to the side as you threw your arms around him for a hug. He was crying too and he held your body tightly against his. Behind you, the party erupted in excitement.

Elvis took your left hand and slid the Diamond onto your finger. You stared in shock, then looked up quickly, "that's why you threw the party."

He smiled, "I wanted to celebrate my girl."

"But what if I said no?"

"I knew you wouldn't," Elvis said with a soft smile, standing and helping you up. "Cause when it's true love, it ain't fake. I knew you'd love me the way I love you."

"I do."

"I love you."

Elvis leaned down and kissed you, warm lips claiming yours. It was sweet and sensual, it had the potential to go further but the crowd from the party stopped it. When you pulled away you watched Elvis in completely awe. This was the man you were going to marry. You couldn't believe how lucky you were.
