Wonderous Drive ~ Chapter 8

"I'm so sorry for dragging you to do some last minute shopping!" Alear apologized. Byleth smiled at her as they felt the winds against them. It was such a nice feeling to deal with, the warmer days were slowly going away and the fall weather was showing. The leaves were falling slowly and the breeze was fantastic.

Byleth sighed, "The breeze today is beautiful, it really feels nice once you get more into it." Alear nodded as they continued down the road. There were cars on the road but they were able to slip by. "I'm glad a lot of people treat us like normal people. Sure we're the heroes but I hate being noticed as a celebrity."

"Good point, I remember back in Elyos I was praised often for my existence even, it was hard to deal with but it was something," Alear replied. Byleth took a deep breath as they continued moving down the highway. Most people weren't bothered by them slowly passing through but some of them got annoyed.

"WATCH WHERE YOU ARE GOING!" A driver shouted. Byleth laughed nervously as they continued passing through the highway. They eventually hit a point where they were stuck in traffic.

Alear sighed "Never thought I'd say the day where we get stuck in traffic." Byleth nodded as he tried to see if he could cut through but there was no luck. They were stuck there until it started moving.

"What do you assume happened?" Alear shrugged her shoulders as they waited patiently for the speed to pick up. They looked around the highway and saw how beautiful it was to be driving around Dawn during the fall time. It was so pretty and was a sight to witness. "Nature is beautiful..."

Alear cheered, "Nature sure is! I love nature so much and it truly is a wonder to all of us!" Byleth nodded as they saw a group of people hogging up traffic in the distance. Byleth was impressed with how none of the drivers were honking their horns at all.

Byleth asked, "Do you have any idea what is going on up there?" Alear stood up and then noticed the group that was hogging up the traffic. It was the villains and they were pushing people back from moving traffic along.

"You have to drive through! Those are the villains and they're hogging up traffic!" Alear yelled. Byleth nodded and found a way to pass through traffic he was able to pass through and then parked his motorcycle. Marth looked over and smiled.

Marth waved, "HEY AGAIN! We're just trying to search for something but these people are so rude and won't let us!"

"You're holding up traffic, what are you trying to search for anyways?!" Alear replied in confusion. Marth looked at everyone and smirked.

Marth sighed, "Well we gotta find that-"

"Found it," Byleth replied while he showed Marth a ring. Marth stared at it and then blushed embarrassingly. He grabbed it and then ordered the team to leave. The two climbed on the motorcycle and then the traffic picked up speed. "Gods, the villains can be so idiotic sometimes."

Alear laughed, "You said it! Oh well, we can just get my dress and we're all set!" Byleth nodded as they made it to the Dawn City Mall. They parked and walked in together. "Ooh, I love this giant mall!" Byleth nodded as they went to the formal clothing store. From there Alear went searching for her clothing as Byleth stood around looking around the store.

Byleth sighed, "This store is so big... I really want to open up a clothing store of my own. Not sure if I have the chance to open up one but, this place is simply wonderful." Alear kept looking around the entire store and was just fascinated by all the dresses.

Alear asked, "Do you wanna help me Byleth!? I'm trying to find the perfect dress but I can't find anything I find interesting..." Byleth nodded as they looked around the store together. Alear was just in love with all the dresses they had in store. Byleth looked around and noticed a dress he believed fit Alear the best.

"What about this one? I like the pattering designs and it has the colors of your main uniform," Byleth questioned as he pulled the dress out to showcase. Alear stood there and fell in love with it.

"IT'S AMAZING!!" Alear yelled, as he grabbed the dress from Byleth's hands. He laughed as Alear could not stop hugging it. No matter how she felt, she was so in love with the dress. She couldn't help herself.

Byleth laughed, "Glad I was able to help you find the dress! Now let's go ahead and buy it."

"One more thing!"

"Oh?" Then Alear pulled out a fake flower crown and put it on her. Byleth looked up and down and thought about it.

Alear asked, "Is it too much?"

"No, I think it fits wonderfully. Besides, if you're not allowed to wear it at the wedding I'm certain you can find a way to fit it into your other future outfits," Byleth replied as he smiled. Alear nodded as the two went to the front desk and paid for the dress and the flower crown. "Thank you so much, really..."

"Always happy to help," Byleth replied with a smile on his face. The two laughed with each other, happy to spend some time together.
