Doubled Sided ~ Chapter 16

"ARAGHH!! I HATE PEOPLE SO MUCH!!" Byleth screamed. He punched his pillow a few times and stayed laying on his pillows. He was so tired of everything and exhausted to hell and back about the entire situation that was occurring with him overtime.

Byleth turned over to face the ceiling and sat there staring at it. He was just exhausted and had nothing better to do. Thinking about the ways others treated him. He sat there around in his room and had the sudden realization of something. He... was starting to have some thoughts, really... dark thoughts in fact. He wanted to cause harm to those who bothered him in the slightest.

Byleth groaned, "Byleth you got to stop thinking these things. You're going to end up hurting those you love. In the process it makes you look really petty." He continued staring up at the ceiling but couldn't help himself continue getting angry about that. He was tired of being pushed around.

"Hey Byleth?" Someone called out. Byleth slowly sat up and walked out of his room to the hallway. From down the hallway he saw Alear looking up at him from downstairs. Byleth stood there in confusion as Alear waved up to him. "How are you?"

Byleth replied, "I could be doing a lot more better but I'm doing alright."

"Oh, I see... Do you want to hear something?"

"Sure why not," Byleth went down the stairs and the two sat together on the couch.

Alear explained, "Chrom called me a few minutes ago saying he and Claude were on their way to enjoy their honeymoon. He said they'll be back by next week and Chrom will be back on the team by Kila 9th."

"That's great to hear, well... that's all you wanted to say?"

"I guess so, I just wanted to make you feel a lot better since you appeared to be in a bad mood. Did that fix you up a little?" Alear replied while wondering. Byleth nodded as he put his head against the couch pillow and closed his eyes.

Byleth sighed, "I know we haven't really talked about this often but... I am just praying everyone has stopped calling me names. You remember how I told you I brought this up to Mario right? It seems like everyone stopped-"

"HEYY SIMPP!!! WHAT'S GOING ON!!!" Someone shouted. That immediately triggered Byleth as he turned over slowly. From there he saw Shez and Kirby waving at him. Byleth took a second to breath and smiled at them slightly.

Alear giggled, "I guess they haven't stopped. Oh well it's all in good favor and they're your closest friends! You should let that one slide."

"I will... I shouldn't get so mad since I allowed Shez to call me that. But nobody else really has permission to call me that, it just happened that one day that everyone mocked me for having a crush on Chrom. Yes I know I was really in love with him but a lot has changed since then. The wedding incident I admit wasn't my best moment. Still...."

"I totally understand that Byleth, looks like everyone has stopped calling you simp though, so no worries!" Alear cheered. Byleth nodded as he sat there staring at the ground at his feet. He didn't know what to say at that moment. Then he took a deep breath and got up. "Where are you going?"

Byleth replied, "I'm going to do some quick training. It's an easy way to brush away from what's on my mind-"

"Oh my goodness everyone! I'm sorry for the delayed notice but I have something to go to! I have a few things to take care of near Mountain Abbirecea. I won't be gone for more than a week!" Mario announced as he came in. Byleth stood there in silence and watched as Mario began packing his bags all of a sudden.

Alear asked, "Leaving just out of nowhere? Alright..."

Byleth sighed, "You're just telling us now?"

"I didn't mean to forget! I thought I told you all but only now I came to the realization that I didn't!" Mario replied in panic. Byleth groaned and put his head into his palms. Mario continued packing his bags as Yae Miko and Albedo helped him in the process.

Albedo replied, "Just be careful near the Abbirecea mountains. Winter season is coming very soon and soon those mountains will be dangerous. But luckily you'll be back by the..."

"The third of Kila!" Mario replied as he smiled. Albedo nodded as he continued backing the bags for Mario. Yae Miko helped supply the medical supplies and soon Mario was set to go. "Thank you both! I couldn't have done this without your help."

Alear cheered, "Take care of yourself! Don't get harmed!" Mario nodded as he dashed out of the door.

"Shoot... we need to go shopping for groceries. Can someone be kind enough to help?" Eula sighed as she came into the room.

Byleth replied, "I'll be more than glad to help. I need to get out and get some fresh air after all. What do we need?" Eula smiled at Byleth as she handed him a list of what he needed to buy. Byleth looked at the list and nodded.

"Take care simpy!" Shez laughed.

Byleth sighed, "You better watch your back Shez, call me simpy again and I'll throw a pillow at your face." Shez smiled at him as Byleth smiled back at him. "Anyways, it shouldn't take me too long, I'll be back within an hour and a half."

Eula thanked Byleth by saying, "Thank you all so much for helping me with the groceries." Byleth nodded as he left the house to head over and pick up the groceries.
