"Hello?! Is anyone here?" Veyle asked as she looked around the room. Celica and Kirby walked in alongside her as they looked around the room in worry. There was nothing in sight, just silence and the sounds of their echoing footsteps.
Celica muttered, "This place is so isolated, you can barely find anything around here..." The heroes nodded slowly as they looked into a room. It appeared to be a room filled with chairs and what appeared to be blindfolds. Celica walked in and held one in her hands.
"What the hell... why are there so many chairs around here?" Kirby asked as he looked around. Celica looked down at the blindfold and then back at the chair.
Veyle asked, "Could it be... that we're too late to rescue the heroes?"
"I... I don't want to believe that we are but I'm afraid we might be too late..." Celica whispered as she held tightly on the blindfold. She felt her body start shaking as she thought about all the heroes that were taken away.
Veyle explained while slightly stammering, "Maybe they're in the Netherworld with Zethus and Rafal! That's the only other place I can think of where they could be located!"
Kirby sighed, "You make a good point but what if they're not there at all! What if they're just somewhere else entirely and we'll never be able to find them!?" Veyle looked at Kirby in worry and then turned toward Celica. She placed her hand on chest and turned around to face the two; who both appeared to be frightened.
"That's why we're going to search the entire castle, if they're not here... then they're going to be in the Netherworld no doubt," Celica said. The heroes nodded as they left the room. They split off and continued searching the grounds. Meanwhile, Shez, Claude, and Gooey were all looking around together in one area.
Shez asked, "Did you guys find anything that is going to help us in the long term?"
"No... and Alcryst is working on the spell, right?" Claude questioned. Shez nodded as they continued walking. Suddenly they walked into a room which was covered in blood spots.
Gooey muttered, "What the..." Shez looked down at Gooey and looked back up into the room. There was a note covered in blood as they slowly entered the room. There were flowers on the ground, but they were dying and covered in blood.
"There's... blood all over the place... and a note here," Shez whispered. Claude looked over and saw the note in Shez's hands. He slowly approached Shez and tapped him on the shoulder. "This... is a letter to you Claude." Claude looked at him in confusion as Shez handed him the letter.
Claude read, "Dear Claude, you're probably here with the heroes looking for me right? I wish I could tell you what happened but all I know is that you need to [HELP ME]. I just... don't understand [HELP], it's just all so [KILL ZETHUS PLEASE]. I'm hoping the [KILL HIM] are alright, are they? I'm so [SAVE ME]..."
"What the..." Shez asked. The heroes looked at the note in confusion. Claude dropped the note as he covered his mouth in fear. It seemed like he was able to understand the note better than the heroes did. "What did you get Claude!?"
Claude explained, "Chrom wrote down that he hopes the kids are alright and that we need to destroy Zethus as soon as possible as he knew he was going to transform into an entirely different person. He said it was all so confusing and he... wants the pain to stop..."
"He... what did he do to Chrom!?" Shez asked in anger. Claude looked down at himself as Gooey wrapped his tongue around Claude. He tried his best to comfort him as Shez looked at the room.
Claude whispered, "He tortured my husband in this chamber, that's why the letter is in here..." Shez looked at Claude in disbelief as he took a deep breath. He left the torture chamber alongside Claude and Gooey. Back with the other heroes, they continued to search the castle but there were no signs of the remaining heroes anywhere.
Kirby sighed, "I'm starting to believe that they were taken to the Netherworld. They're not located anywhere in this castle."
"Should we meet up with Alcryst?" Celica asked. The rest nodded in agreement as they went back to Alcryst. He looked down at himself and toward the heroes as they all returned from their search.
Shez asked, "The heroes weren't there, huh?"
"No..." Veyle sighed. Alcryst looked at the two and then back down at the portal.
Claude whispered, "We found a note written by Chrom. It was a plea for help. Oh how much he had yearned for help but it never came to him..."
"Poor Chrom... what a horrible feeling to go through, where did you find the note in the first place?" Celica sighed before questioning. Claude looked up at the three and started to feel his stomach getting uneasy.
Shez explained, "Inside of a torture chamber, Zethus tortured Chrom in order to change him into despair. How sickening... there was so much blood in there, I'm assuming he killed Chrom and then revived him."
"W-Wait! He killed Chrom and then revived him?! Then... What would happen if we kill Zethus?! Does Chrom die with him?!" Kirby asked in fear. Suddenly fear sunk into the heroes. What was going to happen...
Alcryst explained, "He'll be fine, reviving someone that isn't a disposal will stay alive. In the meantime... I think I did something!" The heroes all let out a sigh of relief before looking at Alcryst.
Claude asked, "Did you find a way into the Netherworld?" Alcryst looked at the book and slowly nodded.
"I think I did manage to find a way, but I would need the heroes to all listen in and see what I need to say. Especially Celica and Veyle, they're going to be the ones responsible for opening the portal," Alcryst described while holding the book.
Celica said, "You have my attention!"
Veyle cheered, "You also have my attention! What do you have to tell us this time around?"
"Alright... let's get this going, and pray that we can open the portal," Alcryst sighed.
