Far From The Castle ~ Chapter 93

The heroes kept on walking through the snow, there was thankfully no snowfall but there was still a lot of snow in the way.

"Is there seriously no easier way to get to Elusia castle quicker?!" Kirby asked.

Marianne sighed, "You can fly your way to the castle and tell the heroes that we're almost there... if you want to."

"I want to stick by your sides... so I guess I'll stay here and deal with the snow," Kirby replied. The others nodded as they continued walking through the snow. There was just so much and walking through snow was difficult.

"So... So much snow..." Chrom muttered. Ayato and him stuck together in order to get through the snow. But soon it just got higher and higher, slowing them down more and more.

Ayato groaned, "I get that we left by foot but wow now I'm starting to wish we took a wyvern or a horse even..."

"I agree..." Everyone else replied. They looked up ahead and searched the area around. Nothing more but endless snow, was it ever going to end? Chrom tried scanning the area more but soon he got a flash forward.

"AHAHAH! WE MADE IT TO ELUSIA CASTLE!!" Byleth announced. The heroes looked over and stood there in disbelief. None of them were suspecting them to arrive so soon! "Did you all miss me? I really hope you guys did, I would be so disappointed if you didn't..."

Ivy ordered, "LEAVE HERE AT ONCE! YOU WILL NEVER OPEN THAT GATEWAY TO THE NETHERWORLD!" Byleth stared at her and smiled. He whipped his sword and wrapped it around Ivy. Celica attempted to attack Byleth but he moved out of the way with ease.

Byleth laughed, "You guys aren't even a full team! This shall be easy..." Ivy looked at Byleth in horror as Byleth started swinging her around.

"QUEEN IVY!!" Alcryst yelled. Then Byleth threw her at a wall. She was bleeding a lot as Hortensia and Celica dashed to her side. Byleth smiled and then threw a dagger. It directly stabbed her and slowly killed her.

Byleth laughed, "Now... there is no return... you will forfeit or die..."

"CHROM!!!" Kirby screamed. Then he slapped Chrom across the face. Chrom shook his head and looked at the heroes. "What did you see? You didn't respond so I'm assuming you saw into the future."

Chrom explained, "If we don't make it there in time we will risk Queen Ivy's life... Byleth and his crew will arrive there quickly if we don't do ANYTHING!" The heroes nodded as they decided to stop caring so much for the snow. They started to dash up the snow. Sure it exhausted them but they had no choice.

"I just want to make sure we can make it there in time... there's just so much snow-"

"DID ANYONE NEED A RIDE?!" Someone shouted. The heroes looked over and saw two wyverns flying in the air. It was none other than Claude and another wyvern. They landed on the snow and smiled.

Chrom said, "Claude! I thought you went to check on things in Ylisse and Almyra?"

"I did check, but after hearing and thinking about how you guys were heading to Elusia I just had to do something in order to help you guys. I brought my wyverns, luckily Chrom knows how to fly wyverns thanks to me teaching him," Claude explained. The heroes nodded as they climbed onto the wyverns.

Ayato laughed, "Words can not describe how grateful we are for your aid... this was going to take us much longer than expected if you didn't come." Claude smiled as they lifted themselves into the air.

Claude sighed, "Elusia is infamous for having so much snow compared to the rest of Dawn. Not to worry, now we will be able to make it there in time." The others nodded as they started flying their way up to the castle slowly. All of a sudden Marianne spotted Byleth and his crew, they were heading to Elusia castle with ease.

Marianne announced, "They're here! They're getting to Elusia quicker than we are!"

"We need to slow them down! Marianne, you go ahead and attack alongside Ayato and Kirby! Me and Claude will control the wyverns so you can attack them!" Chrom ordered. The heroes nodded as they guided their wyverns toward them.

Byleth asked, "Are you KIDDING ME?!? ALL THE TIME YOU HEROES SWEAR TO TRY TO FIND A WAY TO STOP ME! IT'S GETTING FRUSTRATING AND ANNOYING!!" He grabbed out his sword and started to try whipping them.

"HAH!" Marianne yelled as she casted a spell. Byleth nearly slipped and gritted his teeth together.

Byleth ordered, "RAFAL! YOU GET EVERYONE ELSE UP TO THE CASTLE! I'LL DEAL WITH THESE ANNOYANCES!" Rafal nodded as he continued climbing alongside the rest of the villains.

Chrom grunted, "Claude! Take your wyvern and have Kirby deal with the remaining villains! We'll deal with Byleth!" Claude nodded as he soared up to start dealing with the villains. They continued fighting each other as Byleth was able to whip Chrom directly at the perfect place and whipped his wyvern.

Marianne yelled, "WE ALMOST LOST BALANCE CHROM!! ARE YOU SURE THIS IS SAFE?!" Chrom looked at her and back at Byleth who looked prepared to whip them again. He took out his bow and arrow and shot an arrow at him. He missed and Byleth did another whip.

Ayato yelled, "SHIT! CHROM, WE NEED TO STOP BEING RECKLESS AND FIND A WAY TO SAFETY!" Chrom looked at the two and nodded. Right as he was about to lower the wyvern, Byleth whipped the wyvern again. Just like that they were sent falling.

Byleth laughed, "So much for trying!" Then he continued climbing up the mountain. Claude noticed the entire situation and followed after them alongside Kirby. The wyvern was able to pick up Chrom but it was struggling to reach Marianne and Ayato.

Meanwhile, Byleth got back to the other villains and watched as the entire situation unfolded. "Let's get to the castle, we stalled them enough so they won't be there to stop us." The others nodded as they continued climbing the mountain. The castle was just barely up ahead, so close yet so far... Byleth knew that the crown was soon going to be his... it was all his soon...
