Rainy Spring Brawl ~ Chapter 87

The rain was pouring and the setting was just perfect for nothing more than another brawl. The heroes dashed at the villains as they dashed at the heroes. They clashed their blades with one another before the heroes jumped back to defend.

Alear sighed, "The villains are pretty skilled but we just need to last just long enough." The heroes nodded as Byleth launched himself up onto a building before sending himself flying down to attack the heroes. However, Veyle jumped in and put a shield which stopped Byleth in his tracks.

"WHAT THE-" He landed onto the ground and was beyond pissed. Rafal dashed in and attempted to attack the shield but they were unable to do anything. They kept on attacking the shield.

Veyle grunted, "I can't keep this up forever!" The heroes looked at one another and then got ready to attack the villains. The heroes dashed over and slammed their blades against the villains. Byleth jumped away and got prepared to attack the villains.

"AHAHA!" Byleth laughed as he whipped the heroes. They moved out of the way as the shield broke. Alear dashed over to help Veyle regain her strength. Byleth got prepared to whip his sword again when Chrom dashed in and swung his sword at him. Byleth fell backward and then looked over in anger.

"So... you're here to kill me aren't you?" Chrom turned over and saw Robin standing there with a tome in his hands. He looked disappointed before Chrom became fearful. "I should've known this day was coming... how naïve I was to even remotely trust you."

Chrom yelled, "Robin please!" Robin turned around and put the hood on which it covered his face. He got prepared to shoot out a spell when Marianne barely got in and blocked the attack. But in the process Chrom was hit by Rafal. The rain poured harshly onto the ground and the heroes felt themselves getting wetter and colder.

"I love harsh weather conditions... they always make me feel a sense of sensation which I have no idea where it comes..." Byleth laughed. The heroes looked over and dashed at him. That's when Eirika and Ephraim jumped in between and blocked the attacks from the heroes.

Rafal laughed, "You are so pathetic... honestly I wouldn't be too shocked if you were all to fall oh so casually..." The heroes glared at him in anger when Byleth whipped them as well. The heroes launched backward and then landed onto the ground. Chrom looked over and saw Robin performing a spell.

"I will destroy you vessel of Naga..." Robin whispered. Chrom stood there shaken up and barely dodged the spell. Chrom took out falchion and stood there in front of the heroes prepared to defend them.

Byleth asked, "Are you going to stand there now? Are you going to be the pathetic man you are?" Chrom didn't make a word, he just stood there with the sword in his hand. Determination was in his eyes. "Oh yes you will..."

Chrom shouted, "I WILL NEVER BACK DOWN FROM PROTECTING MY FRIENDS!! I WILL SAVE THEM ALL!!" He jumped into the air and then slammed his sword on Byleth. Byleth was attacked and fell backward. Chrom was now beyond furious, he was prepared to hurt them all.

"We got him pissed... aww how cute..." Byleth laughed. Chrom took a deep breath and took off his necklace. Soon he transformed into his demon form. The heroes finally got up and got prepared to attack just in case Chrom wasn't able to do enough.

Rafal asked, "Byleth?! Do you know what the hell that is?!"

"That's Chrom's demon form... he's the descendant of the saint Apollyon... which grants him ability to that form," Byleth explained. Demon got ready and threw his tentacles at Byleth. Byleth moved out of the way and wrapped his sword around one of the tentacles.

Robin muttered, "You always were a demon Chrom... I should've known..." Demon pulled his tentacle out of Byleth's grasp and then sent them at Robin. Robin was caught in the tentacles and suddenly both sides were terrified.

Alcryst shouted, "Chrom! You need to snap out of it!" Demon didn't reply. He and Robin made eye contact as the two stared deeply at each other. "CHROM!!"

"You..."

"You're the one who destroyed me to pieces Chrom. If anything, I should be the one who should be killing you," Robin muttered. Demon didn't say a word and watched Robin carefully. Then he slammed Robin onto the ground.

Demon laughed, "Any creature or worshipper of Grima will be punished too. Therefore I do have every right to kill you..." Alear dashed in and threw her sword as Byleth whipped Demon's tentacles. Demon let go and fell backward. He looked at the heroes in anger and then turned to the villains.

"CHROM!!"

"ENOUGH!! I AM DOING ALL A FAVOR BY DESTROYING ROBIN BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!!!" Demon screamed. He looked over at Robin and sent his tentacles at him again. But Rafal and Byleth struck him before he could. Demon was beyond pissed off and wanted everyone dead.

Shez shouted, "PLEASE!!" Demon didn't want to listen to reason, he had one goal and he was going to achieve that goal one way or another...

Demon shouted, "LET ME DESTROY HIM!!!" He launched himself at Robin and then stabbed Robin directly in the stomach. The two stared at one another as Demon had a wide smile across his face. Both sides stood there watching in disbelief. "At long last..."

Robin grunted, "I..."

"You have nothing more to say, you traitor... I planned to kill you for the longest time possible and now I finally had that chance...." Demon laughed. Robin looked down at his chest where all the blood was gushing out. Demon then took his tentacle out, taking out Robin's heart in the process.

"CHROM!!" Alear shouted. Robin collapsed onto the ground as blood filled the ground. Demon stood there staring and then turned to the villains.

Byleth ordered, "Let's go... NOW!" The villains then all disappeared from the scene. The heroes looked over toward Demon who put up his hand. He crushed the heart and then threw it at Robin.

"I don't understand... why?"
