Face Manipulator and Despair ~ Chapter 74

"YOUR TURN ALCRYST!!" Byleth launched himself at Alcryst. He fell onto the ground and attempted to fight back against Byleth. Claude shot arrows at him but the other villains blocked his arrows.

Claude shouted, "DAMN IT NO!!" Soon Ephraim and Beth ran up and restrained Claude. "LET GO OF ME!!"

Alcryst shouted, "NO! LEAVE ME ALONE!" He was panicking and becoming more and more afraid of what was going on. "God... am I really just that pathetic!? I can't even fight back..."

Byleth laughed, "HOLD STILL YOU WORTHLESS BEING! YOU HAVE NO REASON TO NOT KNOW HOW TO HOLD STILL!!" Alcryst looked at him in silence and then shoved him off. Byleth fell backward and glared at him.

Alcryst muttered, "You... don't even want to try me..."

"TRYING TO BE TOUGH?! YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO BE TOUGH!" Byleth screamed as he smiled. He took out a syringe and got ready to throw it. Then Alcryst shot several arrows, all of them hit Byleth and he fell onto the ground.

Alcryst asked, "I don't think you want to mess with me anymore do you?" Byleth didn't say anything and then managed to throw the syringe directly into Alcryst's arm. He fell down as Claude watched in horror, he didn't know what to do. He was unable to do anything.

Byleth sighed, "Guess someone decided to be too confident at the wrong time..." He smiled at Alcryst and turned around toward Claude. "Now about you King of Almyra, Ylisse and Leciester's leader..."

"LEAVE ME ALONE!"

"I WILL IF YOU TELL ME WHERE THOSE SCROLLS ARE HIDDEN!" Claude was shaking a ton but soon he gave in. He gave away the location of the scrolls as Byleth dashed off to find them. The others followed as well as Claude fell onto the ground.

Claude asked, "Alcryst?! Link?! Are you two even there?!" There was no response from them. Claude was desperate to get something out of them but nothing worked. Claude took a deep breath and grabbed his bow and arrow. Suddenly he heard something, he turned around slowly and saw... Alcryst getting up.

Claude stood there afraid of getting closer. He took a deep breath and went backwards. Alcryst didn't say anything, he just stood there as he turned around. Despair was within his eyes, he smiled as Claude started shaking.

Claude thought to himself, "Did Byleth really go as far as corrupting the heroes with despair!?" Alcryst still didn't say anything. But he was prepared to hurt Claude. Claude got himself ready to protect himself as Alcryst raised his bow and arrow.

"Now I wouldn't do that if I were you, you can get seriously injured if you were to be so idiotic..." Alcryst muttered. Claude stood there staring at Alcryst. Soon he started shooting arrows at him. Claude dodged them and started firing his arrow at Alcryst.

Claude ordered, "I'm VERY skilled! Don't think I don't know how to defend myself!"

"Aww, you think I'm not skilled myself? I will say you are DEAD WRONG!" Alcryst then shot an arrow and it went into Claude's arm. Claude fell backward and looked over as Alcryst walked over to him. He was spinning his arrow around.

"Get... away..."

"Tough luck, how unfortunate..." Alcryst put his bow and arrow up. Claude looked at him and took a deep breath as he got up. Alcryst smiled at him as he got ready to shoot an arrow directly at Claude's head.

Claude murmured, "I have to protect myself... for all my kingdoms..." Then he got ready to fight, he then proceeded to shoot arrows at Alcryst.

Alcryst dodged the arrows and shot more arrows at Claude. Both of them were very skilled with their archer abilities and knew how to handle themselves. However, Alcryst was more precise while Claude was more hands on. "AH!" Alcryst was shot in the arm by an arrow.

Claude looked at him and looked at his bow and arrow. Alcryst pulled the arrow out of his arm and looked down at himself. There was blood on that area of his arm but he didn't care. He wanted Claude dead, so he shot another arrow. Claude barely dodged the arrow and looked over as Alcryst smiled at him.

Alcryst laughed, "Do me a favor already and die..."

"No... I refuse to do that,"

"Aww... did you even have a CHOICE!?" Alcryst asked. Claude looked around his surroundings. As he dodged the arrows he got ahold of a phone. He called for assistance to see if Chrom would pick up but there was no response.

Claude asked, "SHIT! WHERE IS HE!?" He kept on trying as he noticed Alcryst was moving stuff out of the way. Claude shot an arrow directly into his eye and dashed out of the area.

"DAMN YOU!!" Alcryst then chased after Claude. Claude looked behind him and shot arrows to slow down Alcryst but nothing was working. Alcryst was planning on letting Claude out of his sights.

Claude looked at himself and took a deep breath. He took out a smoke bomb and threw it at Alcryst. That managed to stop him as Claude continued dashing down the road. He had to get help, he had to see if the heroes could do anything. Even if it was just a little bit...

"I... I can't do this alone! I can't deal with the despair remnants! All of them freak me out!" Claude yelled to himself. He looked back one more time and called for his wyvern. It arrived, he climbed on and they took off.
