Sudden Explosion ~ Chapter 115

"GAHHH!!" The heroes shouted. There was a loud rumble and they all dashed outside. They looked around and saw something in the distance causing smoke.

Shez asked, "What the hell could that be?!" The heroes looked at one another but they couldn't get themselves to move, they were too afraid to investigate. They stood there quietly, thinking about so many things.

"We should wait to see if anyone is willing to tell us what that is... something tells me that it's not good in the slightest," Ayato sighed. The heroes nodded as they looked around, there were citizens coming out of their homes and noticing the smoke in the distance.

"W-What is that?!"

"Is that smoke?!"

"Do the heroes know what's going on?" The heroes looked at one another and that's when out of nowhere, Shez was whipped from behind. He fell onto the ground in pain and looked up.

Byleth laughed, "It's a pleasure to meet you all again!" The heroes took out their weapons as Byleth stared at them all. "Aww... getting to fight are we?"

Celica asked, "Wait... where's Rafal?" Byleth didn't say a word, the heroes looked at one another in confusion as they heard a loud slam on the ground. The citizens panicked and went back to their homes. "What the..."

Shez asked, "What... did you do..."

"I did what I did best of course! I'm certain you heroes know exactly who I am?" Byleth asked while smiling. The heroes looked at him and glared at him.

Kirby yelled, "THIS ISN'T FUNNY IN THE SLIGHTEST ZETHUS!! CHROM DESTROYED YOU FAIR AND SQUARE AND YET HERE YOU ARE RUINING NOT ONLY BYLETH'S LIFE BUT PUTTING EVERYONE'S LIFE AT RISK?!"

"Aww... I see that you're pissed off, well that doesn't matter. After what the Exalt did to my body I knew my work wasn't done... Neither was Zehira's work..." Zethus Byleth muttered.

Shez yelled, "You took their lives away! I see that you have loads of fun when it comes to this!"

"Indeed I do! Now that this is out of the way... I brought here Zehira through a spell of mine... I used Rafal's body since he was simply perfect for the job," Zethus Byleth explained.

Celica asked, "So you really decided to use Rafal's body so you could bring back that awful father of yours?"

"Precisely, but he isn't awful in the slightest, he's a genius..." Zethus Byleth giggled. The heroes looked over and saw Rafal getting up. "Ah Zehira... it's good to be working with you again, just like we did during that war..."

Veyle shouted, "I DON'T EVEN WANT TO THINK ABOUT THAT WAR!! THE AMOUNT OF PAIN AND SUFFERING YOU PUT EVERYONE IN!!"

"Don't be too sad about it, you did... beat the war after all," Zehira Rafal laughed. The heroes gathered together pointing their weapons up, getting ready to attack the two.

Shez muttered, "Just when I thought this couldn't get any worse..." The heroes looked at the two and got prepared to fight. Then Zethus Byleth attempted to whip them. The heroes jumped out of the way and then hit him in retaliation.

He slammed against a wall and slid down, he looked up at the heroes who were ready to fight him. But soon Zehira Rafal jumped at them and slammed his axe on the heroes. They barely managed to dodge the attack but it was still super sudden.

Veyle asked, "What do we do?! Both of their bodies are being used as puppets for these demigods that were supposed to be long dead!"

"We need to head to the Dawn Library! We can find out the answers there!" Shez shouted. The heroes looked at him and nodded.

Zethus Byleth laughed, "OH NO YOU DON'T!" Together, he and Rafal threw their weapons and they hit the heroes. They all collapsed onto the ground as Zethus Byleth dashed over. He attempted to wrap his sword around Ayato but Ayato moved out of the way. "ZEHIRA GET MARIANNE!"

He nodded as he dashed at Marianne. However, Celica jumped in the way and placed a shield around Marianne. Zehira Rafal began to continuously hit his axe against the shield. They got pushed back slightly and looked over as Zethus Byleth casted a spell on Celica's shield. She fell backward and slammed against the ground.

"W-What... Do you WANT?!" Celica asked in anger. Zethus Byleth didn't say anything, he just smiled at Celica. Then he started spinning his sword around. Within a flash, he wrapped his sword around Ayato and Zehira Rafal grabbed Marianne. Shez and Alcryst attempted to break their grips on them but they were unsuccessful.

Zethus Byleth giggled, "Better luck next time heroes... all your lives are on the line." Soon the two dashed off. Shez wanted to follow them but knew it was pointless.

Kirby asked, "W-What now?!"

"We have to find our answers, to the Dawn Library!" Shez ordered. The other heroes nodded as they dashed away from the town. But they had to be quick, at any point the electric thunderstorms could come back and ruin their plans...
