Dawn's Wonderful Hidden Library ~ Chapter 117

The heroes took their first steps into the library and all of them were amazed by how large the library was. It was impossible to find what you were looking for.

"This library is amazing!" Celica gasped. The heroes looked around as a man with purple and blue hair tips appeared.

The man asked, "May I assist you?" The heroes panicked and looked at him in worry. He didn't say anything but just stood there. Shez took a deep breath and walked up to him. "My name is Evander, I work here at the Dawn Library."

Shez said with a smile, "Hello there Evander, my name is Shez, I'm one of the heroes from Hero Town."

"I can tell,"

"Y-You can tell?" Shez asked, a little confused. The person didn't say anything, he turned around and skimmed the library. He was wearing a black coat with a white suit underneath. "Um..."

Evander questioned, "You're looking for a book regarding Demigods correct?"

"I... I didn't even-" Evander walked away from the scene as the heroes suddenly felt themselves being a little spooked out. They followed him as Evander pointed to the section.

Evander explained, "I'm very good at reading what people desire and not. You want a book regarding the Demigods, so here the section is. Take care heroes." He walked away as the heroes stood there, stunned by everything that just happened.

Shez mumbled, "Okay... let's see here..." They looked around the section as Kirby pulled out a book regarding the underworld demigods.

"Would this work?"

"Keep that book in mind, we'll see if we can find anything else that relates closely to Zethus and Zehira," Shez replied as he searched. Kirby nodded as he began to flip through the pages of the book.

Kirby thought, "There's far more scary demigods in here than I thought there were!" He looked over as Shez pulled a book out.

"I think I just found our key..." Shez muttered. He opened the book up and looked around. The heroes walked over as they sat down alongside him. Then he spotted a passage about Zethus and Zehira. Directly after that were sections dedicated to them.

Celica muttered, "These horrible beings, trying to ruin Byleth and Rafal's life. We need to put an end to all he is doing!"

"Agreed but look," Shez said. The heroes looked down and they read the section together.

Zethus and Zehira were both once mortals, they lived in the remote village, the exact same one lord Midnight lived in. However the village was placed on fire. By doing this the village was tormented. They had nothing.

The people of the village were furious, they wanted something done to save the village from the disaster. They pleaded for assistance from Lady Dawn but she didn't know what to do. Eventually they started rebuilding the village, but in the process some villagers kidnapped Zethus.

Zehira was of course Zethus' father and didn't know where he was. He searched for days on end with barley food, praying to find his son amongst everything that was in Dawn. Eventually he found the corpse of Zethus, he was bitten and killed by a poisonous snake; who was named 'The Litorhal.' Zehira pleaded to not be killed by the snake as it was claimed to take lives.

The Lithoral didn't listen, it had killed Zehira as well. Everyone who is killed by The Lithoral is reincarnated into something evil to get revenge on the snake. But... the snake no longer existed after the two became the demigods they were. But they inherited the features and swear to remove humanity since The Lithoral favors humanity...

Shez muttered, "I've never heard of this snake before... but it's apparently a myth but yet... is it real?"

"Zethus and Zehira... both were once mortals but they now swear to remove humanity due to the snake loving humanity," Celica sighed. She took a deep breath and looked at everyone else. "Do you guys think this snake is a real being? Or at least was?"

Shez replied, "The snake lived thousands of years ago... snakes can live up to twenty years but knowing that this snake used to pray to people... I imagine it lived for hundreds of years."

"But... think about it! The Lithoral probably was a species itself so that meant they were like... poached until they were extinct!" Kirby announced.

Celica asked, "But why would The Lithoral be a species? It sounds like a title to give to a specific snake that promised to kill those who were evil... if they were poached, why would the snake love humanity still if humanity killed its entire species?"

Elfilin sighed, "That's a fair point, I really wonder what exactly is hidden behind the snake, was it an entire species or just one specific snake? How did it look, where did it live?"

"Hm..." The heroes thought long and hard about it but nothing came to their minds. But even then they knew one thing, Zethus and Zehira hate humanity, they were reincarnated as horrendous demigods due to what the snake did to them.

What was their ultimate goal? Was it to wipe humanity once again and repeat the war? Or was it to get rid of the heroes so humanity didn't have anything to rely on? So many questions yet... nothing to answer the question.

"Humanity... more specifically the heroes are what Zethus and Zehira are after, we need to be on guard everyone!" Kirby announced. The heroes nodded in agreement as they all got up. "Let's begin on working on that plan-"

Just like that there was a crash in the building. "Looks like they're here, let's get going everyone!"
