"HAH!!" Marth shouted as he slammed his sword against the ground. The heroes jumped out of the way and looked at him in anger. Marth smiled as he started swinging his sword around. Then he stabbed into the ground.
Celica asked, "W-Wait... what is he doing?!" Then the floor started heating up, the heat of the sword was so powerful that the floor itself was burning so much. "GAHH! THE FLOOR FEELS LIKE IT'S ON FIRE!"
Veyle shouted, "MARTH'S SWORD IS DOING THIS!! WE NEED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS!" The heroes dashed over and then found a way to get the sword out of the ground. In the process Marth was setting more of the town on fire.
"We can't seem to break through into Marth's body... we need to find a way to make him stop..." Alcryst muttered. The heroes looked and nodded but they all knew there was just simply one way only... to kill Marth's body.
Celica sighed, "If we can put out the fire that's on the sword... then we should be able to harm Marth. But unfortunately the only option I can think of is a violent one... murdering him."
"He technically should be dead right now so I think it's a good idea to do it either way, he'll just die again!" Kirby admitted. The heroes nodded as they dashed over. Marth grabbed his sword and he swung it at the heroes. They dodged the attack and then Celica threw a fire spell at him.
Marth asked, "DON'T YOU IMBECILES REMEMBER!? I AM IMMUNE TO YOUR FIRE ATTACKS!!"
"I know... that's why I did it," Celica said with a smile. Marth looked at her in confusion and that's when Gooey and Kirby attacked him with a water attack together. Kirby now had the spear ability and used a combo with Gooey to make his spear stronger.
Marth grunted, "ALWAYS THE SAME!! I CANNOT STAND YOU HEROES!!" The heroes looked at him as they raised their weapons in the air. Marth got ready to throw his sword and that's when Veyle attacked him with another fire attack. "Yet you still do it..."
"Exactly!" Veyle mocked. Then Alcryst and Shez attacked Marth from behind. He fell forward and felt his body slowly starting to give up. "You need to be a lot more careful when it comes to stuff like this..." Marth turned his head at Veyle as Celica dashed at him and swung her sword at him.
Celica laughed, "Hah! You should really try that for size." Marth looked around and then took a deep breath. He knew he couldn't let his anger get the best of him. He still had to make Lord Zethus proud of him.
"HAHH!!" Kirby shouted as he dashed at Marth. However, Marth was much quicker, he swung his sword at Kirby and he was burnt. He fell onto the ground as Gooey dashed over to aid him. Elfilin also went to check on him. Shez and Alcryst then got themselves ready to attack him.
"Hmph, sometimes you heroes can be so idiotic at times, at times it's entertaining," Marth giggled. The heroes looked at him and back at each other. Then Celica and Veyle shot a few fire spells at him. Marth was, of course, unaffected by them. That gave the chance for Shez and Alcryst to attack but they were hit in return.
They landed backward but thankfully they weren't burnt from the sword. Marth stared at them and then got ready to attack Celica and Veyle. Veyle took out a dark tome and Celica got her sword ready. The two stared at him before he dashed at the pair. However, Shez got in the way and Marth had slammed his blade against his sword.
Shez fell onto the ground as his swords nearly were burnt. He looked up as Marth looked at the heroes in rage. He was ready to hurt the heroes even more. Suddenly Kirby got up and threw his spear directly at Marth's back, he was stabbed directly and he looked down.
"Why... the hell..." He gasped, then he collapsed onto the ground. The heroes stared at him in disbelief as they slowly walked over to Marth. The spear was directly stabbed in his stomach. He was unresponsive after that attack.
Kirby asked, "Did... Did we kill him?"
"I think so... he doesn't seem to be responding so I guess we did kill him, wow..." Shez sighed. The heroes looked at one another as they turned around. They were about to leave when Celica noticed a hand in the distance. The heroes kept on walking as she dashed over to Marth's corpse.
Celica asked, "Marth?! Lord Marth are you there?"
"C-Celica?" Marth groaned. Celica looked down at him and then got down on his level. The two stared at each other for a moment before Celica felt herself tearing up.
"What have you done?!"
Marth giggled, "I guess... I caused an accident and set the entire town on fire... that's on me Celica... my bad..." Celica looked at him and hugged him tightly. Marth didn't know what to do, he was pretty much paralyzed, but he liked the embrace Celica gave him.
"Lord Marth..."
"Princess Celica... you... you did so much to try to help Hero Town, you... better stay that way. I was a fool... following Zethus' orders and burning the entire place..." Marth whispered.
Celica replied, "Lord Marth! You didn't do anything wrong! I promise you that..." Marth looked over at her and gently smiled.
"I did so many things wrong... from working with Zethus... to being the one behind the system reboot, and being semi-related to the Fire Dawn war... I did so many bad things... I deserve this all," Marth grunted. Then he looked up into the dark sky as the flames filled his vision.
Celica asked, "Lord Marth?! LORD MARTH!!" Marth didn't reply, he just laid there staring at the night sky. Celica shook him, Marth was finally dying. But she wanted to say something, but it was all too late.
"Celica... you know what I see?"
"What... Do you see?"
"I see my wife... Caeda..."
"Caeda?" Marth slowly nodded as he reached up into the air. He didn't have much strength in him as he smiled.
Marth whispered, "Caeda... I'm so sorry... but I'm finally coming home... I'll join you and Eliwood. I'll finally be at ease again..." Then Marth died right there, his body soon disappeared from Celica's arms. She didn't know what to say, she felt... devastated.
Celica muttered, "Lord Marth..."
