Protecting Hero Town ~ Chapter 66

"HAH!" Robin shouted as he cast a spell at the heroes. They moved out of the way as Marianne shot a spell back at him. Robin jumped back and looked at the heroes. "Are you sure you know what you're doing?"

Sonic yelled, "We're heroes! Of course we know what we're doing!" Robin smiled at them and shot another spell at them. Gooey went under the spell and attacked Robin with his tongue.

"ARAGH!" Robin jumped back and looked down at himself. Tails then took out a ray gun and shot it at Robin. Robin blocked the attack and smiled at Tails. Meanwhile, Sonic spin-dashed into Robin. He fell onto the ground and searched the area.

Marianne asked, "What's he doing?"

"Most likely a spell of some sort..." Sonic muttered. Robin used all his strength to rip a tree from the ground and threw it at the heroes. "OH GODD!!!" Marianne placed a shield around them as the tree bounced on the shield and continued soaring.

Tails yelled, "OH MY GOD!" Marianne chased after the tree but soon it slammed into a house. Robin smiled as he was about to leave. However, Tails used a special lasso to grab onto him. "NOT SO FAST YOU DEMON!"

Robin asked, "W-What the hell do you even want!?"

"YOU..." Marianne checked the house to make sure those who were living in the home. Luckily all of them were safe but all of them were startled.

Marianne apologized, "I'm so sorry about this! You all need to leave your home so we can repair it. We apologize greatly!"

"You need to be a lot more careful!" The man yelled as the others walked out. Marianne stood there staring at them and looked down at herself in confusion.

Marianne thought, "But you're going to be suspecting this if you're living here... Oh whatever." She dashed back to the scene and immediately casted a spell on Robin. However, Robin was immune to the spell she casted. "Ah!"

Robin sighed, "Charming isn't it? Of course it is! I'm just getting excited just thinking about destroying you all.."

"TAKE THIS!" Tails then swung the lasso around in a circle and then threw Robin across the street. He slammed onto the ground and felt blood around his face. "HAH! Try to beat that!"

Robin groaned, "So... you're trying to be smart and cocky aren't you?" Tails looked over as Robin slowly healed the blood off his face. The heroes got together and got prepared to fight again. "I will get my hands on those books if that's the LAST THING I DO!"

"W-What?!" Then he powered up a huge spell and casted it against the heroes. They were all blasted away as they fell onto the ground. Most of them were fine but Sonic got gravely injured. Marianne went over to heal him as Tails and Gooey got ready to fight Robin again.

Tails muttered, "If you mess with Sonic, you're going to be in for a wild ride..." Robin stared at Tails and smirked. He got prepared to shoot another spell as Tails shot multiple beams out from his ray gun. Robin blocked each of the attacks except for one where he got burnt in the process. "We need to focus on his weak spots, Gooey! Come on!"

"Hang on tight Sonic! You got this!" Marianne replied as she continued healing. Robin took a deep breath and started creating a dark storm with his magic. Rain immediately started pouring as rain and thunder roared through the clouds.

Sonic asked, "R-Rain!?" Marianne looked over as Robin then got ready to blast out a lightning spell at them. However, Tails got in the way and then got prepared to absorb the spell. Robin shot out the spell and the gadget absorbed the spell.

Robin asked, "What the hell is going on here?!" Tails looked down at his gadget and smirked at Robin. Robin got prepared to shoot another lightning spell until Tails shot out the spell. It blasted Robin and he fell onto the ground. He looked up in agony and down at himself.

"HAH! It worked!" Tails exclaimed. Gooey smiled at him as the other two smiled at one another. However, Robin wasn't done.

Robin muttered, "At the bare minimum I have to do this..." The heroes got ready again as Robin pulled out a syringe. He aimed it carefully at Sonic and then threw it at him. Sonic was hit in the arm and he collapsed onto the ground.

Marianne asked, "W-WHAT?!" Sonic fell onto the ground as the two looked over in horror. Robin disappeared from the scene as Marianne started healing him. "What happened?!"

Tails asked, "What is in this syringe?" The group looked at one another and back down at Sonic...
