Ripping The Demon ~ Chapter 27

Byleth dashed ahead while laughing as Alcryst dodged the attack and shot arrows at him. Byleth blocked them and smiled at Alcryst. Alcryst took a deep breath and searched around the area to see if he could find any support. Byleth dashed at him and slammed his sword directly into him. He was launched backward and slammed into a wall. He felt blood streaming down his head.

Alcryst grunted, "You can do it... I know you have the strength! You can do it!" He got up slowly and got his bow and arrow ready. Byleth dashed at him again and jumped into the air getting ready to whip his sword at him. However, Alcryst shot another arrow into his eye and Byleth fell onto the ground.

Byleth laughed, "There you are again! You're 100% that demon! I will make sure that after I get the scroll and the book you'll be SEALED AWAY!"

"Seriously! What are you talking about?! I'm not trying to do anything wrong! I'm trying to help you better understand yourself!" Alcryst replied while he held tight on his wound. He felt the blood slowly stopping but it wasn't going to be for long. Byleth jumped up and got ready to whip him while Alcryst got ready to shoot him.

Byleth laughed, "You will never understand... Nobody will ever understand what true perfection really is. No matter how much you believe..."

"I want to believe that you can change! YOU HAVE THE POWER TO DO WHATEVER YOU WANT!" Alcryst got ready to shoot another arrow as suddenly a blast came in. He looked over and saw the villains joining Byleth. "W-What the!?"

Marth laughed, "Great to see the newest recruit for Team Hero! Unfortunately for you, you will be killed now!" Alcryst looked at them in disbelief as he saw they all took out their weapons and looked prepared to kill him. Byleth smiled at them all as he got ready to whip him.

Alcryst whispered, "There's... too many for them! Even though I know how weak and pathetic I really am this is too much even for one person! I have to get out!" Soon the villains dashed over as they attempted to attack Alcryst. He fell backward and dropped his bow and arrow. "GAH! NO!"

Byleth said with a huge smile across his face, "Finally! AT LONG LAST! I'm going to kill you so I can finally deem myself as perfect! I HAVE LONG WAITED FOR THIS MOMENT!" Alcryst looked at the group in fear as they started slowly walking towards Alcryst. Byleth smiled as he sharpened his sword and raised it into the air.

Alcryst asked, "How... How did I get into this situation-"

"HYAH!" Someone shouted. Byleth shifted back to normal and collapsed onto the ground next to Alcryst. It was Alear and Chrom, they kicked and pushed away the villains.

Alear asked, "Are you two alright?"

"NO I AM NOT! THIS MAN IS TRYING TO KILL ME!" Alcryst screamed as he turned angrily toward Byleth who stared up at him in confusion. The two looked at each other and back at Alcryst. Alcryst got up and looked at them in fear. "You want... to protect this man!? HOW COULD YOU TWO BE SO OBLIVIOUS TO THE TRUTH!?"

Chrom ordered, "ENOUGH!" Alcryst looked at them and back at Byleth who had an evil smile on his face. However, Alear and Chrom didn't know. They were far too oblivious to even notice. Alcryst stared at them and took a deep breath.

Alcryst muttered, "I almost died and yet you're treating him like he was the one dying..." He turned around and soon dashed off as Alear and Chrom looked at Byleth.

Alear asked, "How are you doing?"

"The villains randomly attacked me and Alcryst. We were trying to talk some things out, and soon they attacked us. I have no idea what he is talking about me trying to kill him..." Byleth explained as he shook his head. The two looked at him and hugged him. Soon Byleth looked behind him as Alcryst got ready to pierce an arrow into his head.

Chrom said, "If you need to tell us anything please let us know."

"WATCH OUT!" Byleth turned around and blocked the arrow and looked around. Alcryst was missing.

Alear asked, "What was that?!"

"It had to be Alcryst! HE IS NOTHING MORE BUT A LIAR!"

"Hang on! How do we know it is him!? What exactly is trying to do besides trying to find a way to kill you?" Chrom replied. Byleth looked around and saw Alcryst trying to shoot more arrows at them. Byleth was able to block them all with his sword.

Byleth grunted, "No doubt about it! It has to be him, IT HAS TO!" The group stared at him and back at the area Byleth was looking, there was nobody there.

Alear suggested, "There's nobody there... maybe you should catch up on some rest."

"I DON'T NEED REST I NEED ANSWERS! WHY IS HE SO PRESSED ABOUT KILLING ME-"

"BYLETH!" Chrom grabbed Byleth's arm and glared at him. "Alear is right, you need some rest. Alcryst is a good person and doesn't want to harm you so let's just get MOVING!"

Byleth sighed, "You're... right. I deeply apologize." The three walked off as Byleth stared at the ground. "I will destroy that demon... I will sneak out tonight and get the scroll and the book. Soon I'll find a way to destroy him and finally rest easy knowing I am true perfection..."

Alear sighed, "Both sides are crazy, I just want us to get some rest and we'll see what happens in the morning."

Chrom said in agreement, "I agree. I want to know what truly was going on but it's exhausting right now. Let's just get some rest." Byleth nodded as the group walked on ahead together. However, there wasn't going to be a morning...

Byleth thought, "I'm sorry, as much as I want to talk it out with you... pests. I want to find that scroll and book. That way I can find a way to kill Alcryst for good and make sure he's destroyed... that demon... following me around for no reason. I pray that he gets killed..."
