Blood Filled Face ~ Chapter 41

Byleth reappeared on Elusia's flooring. The teleportation was successful. However, he noticed that there was blood on the snow. He checked around him to see if he was bleeding or not.

"What the..." He grabbed out his phone and checked his face. Turns out there was a large marking on his face, which was bleeding. He felt it and saw there was blood on the marking. Byleth quickly grabbed a bandage and wrapped it around his head. He saw how covered in blood the snow was. Yet he was determined to find that book.

Byleth turned around and wiped himself off of any blood remaining on his face. He decided to go around Elusia's kingdom borders in order to avoid being spotted by Queen Ivy. He continued walking through the harsh cold snow, nothing was going to stop him. Nothing ever will stop him no matter what will happen.

Byleth walked around the castle and continued making his way up to the mountains. They were getting rustier and winder, he was getting exhausted by the moment. He was still determined to press forward. Nothing will prevent him from getting that spell book.

"I'm so close to those mountains... I can feel it..." Byleth grunted. Meanwhile, back with the heroes they got word that Byleth had ended up being the one responsible for murdering Mario.

Kirby muttered, "Byleth is our close ally... I just don't understand why he would do such a thing to Mario..."

"Something is wrong with him, he wouldn't want to kill Mario out of sheer will..." Albedo muttered. The heroes nodded in agreement as they saw something outdoors.

Sonic grunted, "Let's go check." They dashed out and saw that suddenly there was... a creature killing the citizens. Covered in blood. "W-What the..." The creature turned over and saw it was Marth. Long black tentacles stuck out from his back.

Marth laughed, "Oh hello heroes... glad you guys wanted to join in the murder fun..."

"You have a demon form just like Chrom?"

"Of course we do! I'm his ancestor and he is my descendant. It's only natural we do..." Marth smiled as he stabbed another citizen. He ripped the head off and looked at the heroes with insanity.

"Who are you even working for!?" Sonic asked as the others got ready to defend.

Marth laughed, "Simple, I'm working for Byleth."

"Byleth..."

"Yep, if you didn't even know we planned the attack at the mall a while back with his help. He has been planning to kill Mario for as long as Dvina. Only now does he get to die here in Kila..." Marth explained as he smiled grimly at the heroes.

Zhongli grunted, "Byleth was really planning this... I refuse to believe this is true but..."

"But what? Are you just afraid he was doing this prior to your idea of him getting possessed?" Marth mocked. The heroes looked at one another and back at Marth. He was covered in blood and there were dead citizens around him. His tentacles were just as deadly as Chrom's.

Link sighed, "We're not afraid of the idea... most of us are just in disbelief that Byleth would remotely even think of this idea at all."

"You should be happy he did think of this idea! We helped him plan the assassination of course! We deserve some credit as well..." Marth laughed.

Kirby yelled, "YOU LIAR!! BYLETH WAS MANIPULATED BY YOU ALL SO YOU COULD HAVE SOMEONE TO BLAME!"

"Someone to blame? What are you even remotely talking about?" Marth laughed. Kirby looked at him in anger but soon moved back with the heroes. "Even you're afraid to hurt me. How pathetic can you heroes be?"

Sonic mumbled, "Leave Kirby alone..."

"Leave him alone?! I'll leave all of you alone when you're DEAD!" Marth shouted. Then he launched a tentacle at the heroes. Marianne shot a spell at Marth which caused the tentacle to fall weak.

Link ordered, "NOW!"

"OH NO YOU DON'T!" Marth shouted. Soon Albedo and Kazuha dashed in and attacked Marth before he was able to stab Link. He fell onto the ground as the other heroes worked together to deal with the tentacles.

Kazuha ordered, "Albedo! You pin him down on the left side, I'll pin him down on the right!" Albedo nodded as the two split and grabbed Marth and shoved him directly into the ground.

"AHAHAH! KEEP TRYING!" Marth laughed. But Albedo and Kazuha didn't stop. They pinned him down onto the ground harder as the others kept trying to tie up the tentacles.

Kirby grunted, "These things move all over the place! How are we going to be able to keep them down?"

"Hm... let me see what I can do," Marianne muttered. She shot a spell and the tentacles got a lot more calmer. "That should help." The heroes nodded and went to tie up the tentacles. They walked over to Marth as Sonic went up to Marth.

Sonic ordered, "Speak. Now."

"You want the details don't you..." Marth grunted. The heroes didn't say a word. "Fine..."
