"Okay... I'm shopping for a few things, nothing should get in my way now," Byleth muttered. Before he left he had to dump the trash away. So he safely dumped it into the dumpster. He took a deep breath and looked around the area. It was clean and he felt at ease.
He walked off to the Mila pond and looked down at his reflection. He took a deep breath again and splashed his face with water. He looked around the area and smiled. He got up and looked around once more. Mila pond was so beautiful and he loved the aroma around it. Byleth sat down again and sighed.
Byleth sighed, "I have 40 minutes to go shopping, spending my time here is just so nice." Byleth looked down at his gloves and saw how dirty they were. He gently placed them in the water and washed them up. He decided that was enough stalling and he left the pond as soon as possible.
Byleth looked around and saw the citizens cheering. Byleth enjoyed the autumn breeze. All he could hear were the citizens, the feel of the soft wind breeze. It was wonderful, he loved it all. Byleth continued walking down until he reached the grocery store. He checked over the supplies and bought the stuff he needed.
"Good day Byleth-" Someone waved before noticing the strange stain marks on Byleth's clothing. "What's with the stain marks on your clothing? Aren't you the king of cleanliness?"
"W-What?!" Byleth looked down at his sleeve and saw the stain on his jacket. He was horrified at the stains. He was disgusted at the stains, but he didn't remember them being on there. The person stood there in confusion as Byleth started gagging.
The person asked, "A-Are you okay!?"
"E-Excuse me..." Byleth dashed off into the restroom and immediately cleaned off the stain. He was sick of it all but more importantly he couldn't stand the mustard stain on it. Byleth looked at himself in the mirror and tried to see if there were any more stains on it.
Suddenly someone asked, "Byleth?" He turned over and saw Dimitri standing there just entering the restroom. Byleth looked at him in embarrassment and then hid his face in disbelief. "Professor, what on earth are you even doing?"
Byleth replied, "I'm trying to check if there's any stains on me! Someone told me there was one and I'm so afraid others are going to know!" Dimitri stood there in confusion as Byleth looked all over the place on his jacket.
Dimitri sighed, "I gotta use the restroom now." Byleth nodded and dashed out of the restroom believing all those stains were gone. He grabbed his basket of things again and headed out to look for the rest of the groceries. He was still terrified at the thought of others finding him unclean. It was something he dreaded dearly.
"Gods... I can't let someone see me dressed this way! I can't let them take me by surprise and let me know how awful I look! ARAGH! I dread that so much... I just want something that will distract me from thinking about my appearance..." Byleth muttered as he grabbed the supplies he needed.
He grabbed the rest of the supplies and left to go check them out. He stood there in fear as the cashier carefully scanned each of the items. Patiently waiting for it to all be over and for him to finally leave the place before he got anymore embarrassed of himself. However, the cashier was still going so slow. Suddenly they spoke...
"How are you today?" The cashier asked as she scanned the items. Byleth stood there frozen as the cashier smiled at him. Byleth looked around to make sure he wasn't being the one talked to but sure enough he was.
Byleth laughed nervously, "Good day! How about you?"
"Doing alright myself, you heroes are doing alright, yes?" Byleth nodded as he stood there in silence. Tapping his foot for the cashier to finish what they were doing but they were just too slow. Or maybe that was the fear building inside Byleth. "Lovely weather we're having on this great day aren't we?"
Byleth replied, "Oh yes indeed, I do love the wonderful fresh breeze of Autumn."
"Me too! Autumn is one of my favorite seasons of the year. Winter is coming soon unfortunately but I have to enjoy every last bit of it! You understand that right?" Byleth nodded as the cashier finally finished scanning all of his items. "Alright... 2 dollars and 29 cents." Byleth nodded as he grabbed out a 2 dollar bill and 50 cents. The cashier gave him his change as Byleth grabbed his bags.
Byleth laughed, "Thank you so much for helping me."
"Helping you? Whatever did I do to help you sir Byleth?" Byleth stood there frozen as he realized he messed up and now the cashier was curious about what he said.
Byleth replied, "Nevermind! Ahaha... hah..." Then soon he grabbed his bags and dashed out of the building. He looked around the town to see if there was anyone nearby but he still felt really stressed out and couldn't figure out anything. "What if they see me dressed this way?! They're going to make fun of me and never buy my clothes again! Thinking I'm not tidy at all! AH!!!!"
"Byleth?"
"NOT NOW!!" Byleth screamed as he turned around. Suddenly he saw Blue holding a bag of groceries in his hand. Byleth took a deep breath and apologized to Blue. "So sorry about that, how can I help you?"
"Are you okay?"
"NO!" Then he dashed off.
