"I got chosen as the villain this time around!" Alear cheered. The heroes smiled as they got prepared to play. The heroes built up the city and looked at Alear. "Alright, who's spinning the wheel, what do we need to prevent?"
Celica said, "I'll go ahead and do so!" Chrom watched as Celica spun the wheel and she landed on a space that had a fire symbol on it. "Looks like we need to prevent a fire from happening."
"I GET TO ATTEMPT TO SET A CITY ON FIRE?? Wait... I felt like... nevermind this is stupid," Alear said with a smile. The other heroes smiled and then Chrom started to get uncomfortable all of a sudden.
Kirby said, "Alright, Alear you spin our turn to see what we attempt to do. If you land on the skull space that means one of us gets eliminated from trying to save the city!" Alear smiled and then spun the spinner.
"Well, that's a first! I got the skull space!" Alear laughed. The heroes giggled and looked at one another.
Kirby laughed, "Who's willing to take one for the team!"
"I will, I'm curious how this will go," Shez giggled. The heroes nodded as Alear spun the wheel again. Shez watched as she landed on yet another skull space. "Alright it's yet another one!"
Ayato laughed, "Don't worry I'll go ahead and do it for the team." Chrom stood there staring at everyone and got more nervous to see what was going to happen. Not in a happy way but... genuine nervousness. Alear spun again for the third turn.
Alear laughed, "Yet ANOTHER skull space! Is this game rigged or what?" The heroes giggled and then turned to everyone else.
"You're pretty good at this game when we get a chance to attack Chrom! You're definitely going to stay," Kirby said with a smile. Chrom nodded and looked at the rest of the heroes.
"I guess I'm next," Marianne said with a smile. She was removed from the team as Alear spun again. It was like... it was destiny, yet another skull space.
Chrom said, "Okay there's no shot this game is rigged."
"I SWEAR IT ISN'T I CAN FLICK IT AGAIN AND IT WILL LAND ON THE SKULL SPACE!?!" Alear laughed. Kirby then rolled out of the way. There was only Chrom, Celica, and Elfilin playing. The rest were forced to spectate, then Alear spun again. "WHAT THE-"
Veyle laughed, "Alright I'm getting out, Celica and Chrom can be a pretty powerful duo." Alear shook her head and then spun the wheel again. Once more... it landed on the skull space. Celica then moved out the way and Chrom sat there staring at the buildings, he felt... off about the entire situation.
Alear said, "Well I think we all know how this is going so let's skip to the good part." She spun the wheel and... surprisingly it landed on the special space! "Oh!"
Chrom asked, "W-Wait did I get the instant blast?"
"You... did!" Alear laughed. Chrom then smiled as Alear moved her figure out the way. The fire was prevented thanks to the instant blast from saving the city! "You did it Chrom! That was an easy win so I'm curious how you would play it if it was not rigged."
Chrom asked, "Are you sure it wasn't... rigged?"
"Of course not! Why are you asking?" Alear asked. Chrom looked down at himself and then felt himself shaking. "Chrom?" Chrom got up and quickly ran up into his room.
Celica wondered, "Nothing off-putting happened this time around... did something happen that we are unaware of?" Alear looked up and followed up the stairs. She knocked on Chrom's door but there was no answer. She knocked again, she didn't want to be rude but she was worried.
"Chrom?" She froze after seeing Chrom crying into a pillow. It wasn't anything bad but she was extremely worried. She walked over to Chrom and tapped him on the shoulder. "Chrom?..."
Flames were everywhere, there was hardly anyone that was alive. It was a scene to behold. Flames everywhere; however, there was a clear sign there were still people around.
"Alear..." Chrom whispered. He was shaking a whole lot, nothing made sense to him. Still he wanted a clear answer. "Alear the way the game played out..."
Alear then realized the situation. She walked over to Chrom and gave him a big hug. "I'm so so so sorry that the game triggered you! We didn't suspect this to happen and we were so naive to not pay attention to how you were feeling!"
Chrom replied, "It's not just that Alear... how can you and all the heroes that died during that war... how can you all stay so happy and joyful?"
"It's..."
"It's coping isn't it? I cope with Claude a lot... but he's not here, he's back in Ylisse... I miss him so much... but even with that coping I still remember the events... why?" Chrom asked. Alear looked down at herself and then slowly looked over toward Chrom.
Alear mumbled, "You were affected more than us. You lived the war itself... We all died in the process. You were the one who was forced to save the world... that's the only logical reason I can think of."
"I..."
"Chrom, it's okay... I know you have PTSD from those events... but it's okay. If you need someone to listen to you, I'm here for you," Chrom looked at Alear and smiled as the two hugged.
