Faraway From Existence ~ Chapter 24

Celica ran in the opposite direction. She kept running trying to track down the location of the murderer. She ran past Alear and Chrom who were discussing their plan about the trial. She ran past Shez and Alcryst who were doing the exact same thing. She kept on running around the town.

Then she made a stop, from there she spotted the suspect talking with the villains. Marth noticed Celica and told the suspect. Then they revealed themselves by turning around. Celica and the suspect made contact with one another.

The person grumbled, "So... the police figured it out?"

Celica replied, "Yes... yes we did... Byleth." Byleth took out his weapon as it glowed a bright red color. Celica stepped a few feet back as she took out a tome. "I am only here to arrest you..."

Byleth laughed, "Arrest me!? There's no reasoning as to why you need to arrest me in the first place!"

"There is... you knew we were coming for you if you even considered the fact I was going to arrest you..." Celica explained as she got the spell ready. The villains looked at her and back at Byleth. "IF YOU VILLAINS DON'T WANT TO GET ARRESTED I SUGGEST YOU LEAVE NOW!!"

Byleth shouted, "DON'T-" But the villains left the area. Byleth looked toward Celica as he smiled sinisterly. Celica kept her hand on her tome as Byleth got ready to attack her. "Fine, if you want to fight me go ahead and do so..."

Celica said, "Gladly, if that's what I will do to arrest you. Then I will." Byleth smiled at her as he dashed over and whipped her. Celica jumped back and casted a spell on him. Byleth blocked it and whipped her again. She fell backward and looked up at Byleth.

Byleth mocked, "You poor weak princess! Can't even hit someone who only has teaching experience?"

"What are you talking about?! You are a part of Team Hero and for the record you even were one a mercenary!" Celica replied as she slowly stood up. She got a spell ready and casted it on Byleth.

Byleth shouted, "AGH!" He fell backward and quickly got up as Celica was barely getting up from the ground. Byleth extended his sword and wrapped it around Celica's arm. "Heheh..." Then he started pulling on her arm.

Celica shouted, "AH!" She tried casting a spell but she was unable to do so with one hand. Byleth smiled at her as he also raised her into the air. "LET GO OF ME!!"

Byleth laughed, "ONLY IF YOU DON'T PLACE ME IN JAIL!!" Celica glared down at him as she kicked the sword. That caused Byleth to let go of her as she landed on the top of a house. Celica took a deep breath and looked through her tome. She got ready to cast a fire spell on him.

While she did that Byleth dodged the attacks. Celica kept casting them on him as Byleth was able to easily dodge them. Celica looked around as Byleth launched himself into the air Celica then came up with a bright idea. She grabbed out her taser and tased Byleth.

"AGHH!!!" Byleth shouted as he fell to the ground. Celica jumped down from the house and looked down at Byleth who was looking at her in agony. Celica then grabbed her handcuffs out.

Celica grunted, "The more you act, the less I believe you're innocent."

"Just because I fought against you!? Hah! That's hilarious thinking you have there, Celica!" Byleth mocked. Celica glared at him as she pushed him ahead. Byleth looked around the town as Celica kept dragging him. "Just a warning... I will be innocent whether you like it or not."

Celica sighed, "Only that will be decided in trial. I am simply here to arrest you and nothing more." Byleth stared at her and groaned. They kept on walking around town. People looked over and stared at the pair.

Byleth said, "Just saying, I hate being stared at."

"I don't care, you're staying by my side either way, I'm not letting you run away..." Byleth stared at her with anger building up. Soon he let it out slowly, he was still unbelievably pissed off about it. "You'll be in jail and we'll be interrogating you."

Byleth laughed, "Oh and that's it!? You must think I'm stupid enough to tell you anything! I won't be spilling anything out. You just wait and see as I manage to get away with this 'crime' I didn't commit."

"Stop treating this like this an ordinary crime! You have been brought in as a murder suspect! You did something to the leader of the heroes!" Celica replied.

Byleth mocked, "Oh really? I did something to Mario out of all people? You really believe that I actually did something to him? The team leader I believe is one of the best?"

"Oh absolutely..." Celica grunted as she dragged Byleth into the police station. Other police officers were there keeping Byleth on watch. Suddenly it started getting to Byleth how serious this situation was. The officers looked far more serious about the situation.

Byleth thought, "Just... because a team leader passed away... I'm being held against my will?! They don't treat normal murders like this! How important was Mario to the town anyways?! Sonic's the mayor and yet he is still alive!"

"You look like you have something on your mind, care to explain?" Byleth stared at Celica as they stood right beside a room. The two stood there in silence. "Well then?"

Byleth laughed, "I don't have anything to explain to you, in fact you'll be filled with fear once I find a way to bail myself out of this situation. My best friends are going to be standing by my side... they will pledge for my innocence."

"They will not, as much as you want to bail out of here with... money, I'm afraid that's not an option. This case is serious and we will take full responsibility for it," Celica replied in anger. Byleth stared at her and smiled evilly at her.

Byleth mocked, "Just you wait and see! You'll be failing at finding the murderer of that crime..."
