Byleth and Rafal landed on the ground and searched the area. It was all empty and dark inside, but most importantly there were tons of floating islands. Byleth brushed himself off and looked around the place.
"This is not what I was suspecting but this is doable," Byleth sighed as he looked around. He looked down toward the ground and there was a void to nothingness. It was death if you were to fall, no return.
Rafal asked, "So you have a way to get out of this place once we get the crown, right?" Byleth nodded as he jumped onto one of the floating rocks. They were large enough for him to stand and luckily they didn't move.
Byleth muttered, "How odd, we appear to be the only color around this area. It seems all... gray and monochrome." He looked around the area again and then sat down at the edge. Rafal jumped onto the rock Byleth was on and looked around as well.
"Yeah, there's no color anywhere... it's an empty mess..." Rafal muttered. Byleth looked down at his fingers and soon he gripped his hands together. He was wanting something so badly, the crown. The crown was all he had on his mind. "Byleth?"
Byleth explained, "Rafal... I know I've said this countless times but the crown, the crown is so close I can feel it in my hands... we need to find that castle and then snatch the crown directly from where it stands."
"I don't suspect you actually know where the crown is?" Byleth sat there in silence and then looked toward Rafal. Then he summoned a scroll in his hands. It was a scroll regarding the castle. "Oh you have a scroll, that will be easier."
Byleth nodded, "Yes, based on my understanding of this scroll... we're really close to that place. But I don't see a castle anywhere..." Byleth stood up and looked around the surrounding area. "Let's go on ahead, perhaps we'll find the castle from a different angle." Rafal nodded as the two jumped over to the next floating island.
Beside them was a church, it appeared to be infested with some little bugs. Those bugs were eating away at the building. "Not only demigods and others get banished, but there's also strange creatures around here... Byleth take a look at this." Byleth turned around and watched the creatures eat at the building.
Byleth was so mesmerized with the bugs. Something deep within him was telling him that there was some sort of connection between the two. "Those bugs... they're native to the Netherworld and can be extremely dangerous if they are on Dawn..." Byleth wanted to touch them but he knew better than to touch them.
Rafal asked, "What the hell are those things called anyways?"
"They're called Building Worms. It's a very basic name but it gets straight to the point, anything that is unwanted in the Netherworld gets eaten by those bugs," Byleth explained. Rafal nodded as Byleth kept on watching them. "They were created from Zethus' hand, they're minions of him."
Rafal sighed, "There's a lot you know about the Netherworld, Byleth. I'm curious what you did to learn so much." Byleth stood quiet and then turned around. Rafal stood there in confusion as Byleth took a deep breath.
"I only know so much... I can't discuss this with you... at least, not yet," Byleth muttered. Rafal stood there in confusion as Byleth lifted his head up. He searched the area and then soon spotted a castle which was covered in goo and other bugs, but this time they looked red and appeared to be magma.
Rafal asked, "Is that the castle?"
"It's the only one I found through scanning so let's go ahead and check it out," Byleth replied. The two jumped onto the rocks and onto the different islands. After lots of jumping later they got to the castle grounds.
Rafal wondered, "There's more small little bugs around here, I'm assuming you know what those magma looking ones are called?" Byleth looked over and then spotted the bugs. Yet another connection sparked between the two. Byleth shook his head and then nodded toward Rafal.
Byleth explained, "These are Lava Magmas, they surround buildings they wish to protect and as their name suggests, they are lava. They can burn you very quickly if you are not careful. Luckily there's none on the door." Rafal nodded as Byleth placed his hand on the door.
They stood there with anxiety as Byleth slowly pushed the door open. He looked up and there it was... inside a case was a crown imbued with magic. It was a bright electric purple, it had sharp edges all around. Byleth walked over and gazed up to the crown. He didn't know what to say. It was simply marvelous...
Rafal said, "That's the crown of Zerus? It's really bright..." Byleth didn't say anything in reply. The crown was right in front of him. He wanted to get his hands on the crown as soon as possible.
"The crown..." Byleth muttered. He looked over toward Rafal and smiled. Soon the smile turned to insanity, swirls filled his eyes as the purple aura around him grew stronger. "THE CROWN IS FINALLY IN OUR HANDS!!"
