Reign Supreme, Shine Forward ~ Chapter 100

One by one the heroes jumped out of the vortex. They looked around their surroundings and noticed the strange ground. However, Kirby saw it as... familiar...

Kirby muttered, "This place almost looks like the same place I fought Magolor..." The heroes looked at him and then back ahead of them. There was a gateway to the next area. The heroes hesitated for a moment unsure what to do next.

Shez muttered, "We... we need to be careful." But the heroes couldn't let go of each other, one by one they walked carefully toward the gateway. They were too afraid of what exactly the crown had done to Byleth. They paused and held each other's hands.

Worried, worried about what was directly behind that door. There was something there, something that was scaring them. Unsure what it was... but it was something. Then they took a deep breath, together they walked through the gateway to the next area. But... it just appeared to be a repeat...

"What?" Chrom asked. There were only the sounds of the wind. The heroes stood there quietly.

"AHAHAHA!" Someone's laughter echoed. The heroes took out their weapons and looked around, scared of what was waiting for them. Suddenly Rafal appeared, he had his axe out and looked completely normal.

Alear ordered, "Rafal... where is Byleth?!"

"He'll be joining you shortly..." Rafal giggled. The heroes stood there in silence and then they heard footsteps. They all watched, long robe... it was the Enlightened One uniform...

The voice laughed, "Hello, heroes..." The heroes looked up and it was... Byleth. The heroes stood there in silence. Byleth smiled at them with purple in his eyes, that's the only thing they were filled with.

Chrom asked, "Byleth?" Byleth then got himself prepared to attack. The heroes got ready as well. Then Byleth shot several magic attacks at the heroes. They barely dodged the attacks as Byleth smiled at them.

"W-What the hell?!" Alear asked as she slowly got up. Byleth then jumped up into the air and blasted Alear. She was hit back harshly and felt her body starting to give up. Byleth laughed and then got prepared to blast her again. Alear couldn't move but Celica jumped in the way and blocked the blast with her shield.

Byleth giggled, "So you think you beat me like this!?" Byleth landed on the ground and smiled at Rafal. He dashed at the heroes and then swung his axe. They were pushed back despite not being attacked by the axe at all...

"W-What?!" Shez asked. Byleth smiled at them as he started spinning his sword around. His entire body was covered in a dark aura but the crown was on him... it had taken the form of the crown he wore on his head... The heroes stood there in disbelief as Byleth raised his hands into the air.

"LET'S SEE YOU DODGE THIS!!" Byleth laughed as he blasted the heroes. All of them were hit and they all fell backward on the ground. "I love my incredible power! I FEEL UNSTOPPABLE!!!"

Alear shouted, "YOU ARE GOING... INSANE!! WHAT IS THIS POWER?!"

"It's too much for Byleth to handle but yet... he's still able to handle it... why?!" The heroes didn't say anything. Soon they noticed Byleth charging up another spell. Rafal dashed in and swung his axe as Byleth shot the spell at the heroes. They all got launched backwards again, becoming more injured by the moment.

Alcryst grunted, "He has so much power! We will never be able to defeat him in this state!"

"FACE YOUR END HEROES!! ABOUT TIME EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU DIED!!!" Byleth screamed. He jumped into the air and opened several vortexes at once. The heroes looked around in confusion and felt sudden gusts of winds. The vortexes were... ATTEMPTING TO SUCK THEM INSIDE!!
