"So you did lie to everyone, including your best friends?!" Shez asked as he looked at them. Byleth smiled at him and nodded.

Byleth explained, "I killed Mario because I saw the opportunity. It was the perfect time to finally strike at him as I noticed he was going to the mountains. He stopped by Mila Pond right before the trip and I killed him right there. I saw the perfect time to harm him!

All I thought to myself was, I'm going to do something horrible to him. I thought the best way of doing this was killing him. I was sick and tired of being pushed around and being nothing to everyone. So I took it out on him, I hacked his communicator to show that he was awake and located in the mountains.

However, I think it worked so well I managed to fool not only the majority of the team but even the JUSTICE SYSTEM ITSELF! You all defended me and that went HORRIBLY! You helped me get out of jail, thanks to you now I'm on my mission to get the book and the crown to gain WORLD DOMINANCE!!!"

"What the... but why would you do this!? All of this just to achieve perfection?!" Alear asked as she looked at herself in disbelief.

Byleth mocked, "This isn't about perfection anymore you idiotic woman. This is about achieving dominance and sending a word to others. This about sending a message about how not to FUCK with me ANYMORE!!"

"Byleth... you're going insane... this isn't even like you anymore! You're not like this to your friends! You're an understanding and considerate person, you just have a hard time expressing yourself! What is going on!?" Alear said. Byleth stood there staring at her and took a deep breath.

Byleth sighed, "Once I get my hands on that crown and that book you will be sorry you ever were once my friend. All of you are on the chopping block of who gets sacrificed for this wonderful ritual to gain ultimate power..."

"ARE YOU CRAZY!? SOMEONE HAS DESTROYED YOU TO HELL AND BACK!" Chrom shouted. He looked down at himself in disbelief. Byleth glared at them and then got himself ready to whip them.

Byleth sighed, "I'm no longer working with these pathetic heroes. I'm working for myself and myself ONLY! Nobody will be able to destroy me or stop me from achieving my ultimate goal."

"You have drowned yourself into this fake image Byleth! WAKE UP! THIS ISN'T YOU!" Shez shouted. Byleth looked at him and looked down at himself.

Byleth mumbled, "I thought you and I could work together in harmony Shez. However, I don't think that will be possible now. How disappointing... I didn't want this to come this way..."

"Byleth?"

"I WILL DESTROY YOU ALL!! AND YOU ESPECIALLY YOU DEMON!" Byleth shouted as he launched himself into the air. Alcryst then started shooting arrows at him. Byleth fell onto the ground shortly afterwards as the other heroes got ready to attack him. However, he was able to whip his sword at them as he got up.

Alcryst grunted, "He's so focused on trying to specifically kill me! Use me as bait and you take him down!" The others nodded as Alcryst and Byleth fought with one another. Meanwhile Chrom leaped into the air and slammed his sword against Byleth. Byleth fell forward and looked behind him, from there Chrom was steadying himself.

"So this is how you would treat your own best friend?" Byleth asked. Chrom didn't say a word and just stayed quiet throughout the entire event. Byleth took a deep breath and dashed at Chrom. Chrom dashed at him as they clashed their blades against each other.

Alear said, "Shez! Now is our chance! Alcryst, overwhelm him with arrows!" The two nodded as Alcryst started shooting arrows as the two dashed at Byleth. Byleth and Chrom were still at it when suddenly the two jumped into the air and hit Byleth from behind. He fell backward and dropped his sword.

Byleth groaned, "So you really think that teaming up together is going to stop me?" He tried grabbing his sword as Chrom kicked it away. Byleth stared up at him, bruises covered his face. "What do you have to say Chrom? You're my best friend... yet you're slowly becoming nothing to me."

Chrom explained, "Say you're my best friend all you want, you're not my best friend this way. He would care about how I felt and not go as far as trying to kill others simply because he felt like he was lower than everyone else. Which you aren't, please Byleth I hate seeing you this way."

"You..."

"Byleth, I just want you to understand that you aren't like this at all, you are more than this..." Chrom took a deep breath and then hugged Byleth. However, he immediately kicked Chrom off him and walked backward.

Byleth muttered, "A true dominator doesn't let someone like you get into his way. I am God compared to you Chrom. You are nothing, I swear to you that I will destroy all of you and the rest of the team..."

"Always the same thing, that we are nothing compared to him," Alear groaned. Shez elbowed Alear as the two looked over. Byleth then was able to use magic to get the sword back in his hands.

Shez said, "Byleth, focus on yourself and trust yourself! There is no reason why you should be so focused on this! This isn't you in the slightest and I know it. You're more than this! Come on!"

"You're telling me nothing more than lies! This isn't my full potential! I haven't even reached my full potential! You're all trying to make me feel better about myself but it WON'T work!" Byleth shouted. The heroes stood there watching him in disbelief.

Chrom muttered, "Byleth... you have driven yourself mad, this isn't who you are even. I hate to be cliche but... get back into your damn senses..."

"WHAT WAS THAT YOU BITCH!?" Byleth asked. Chrom stared at him and didn't respond. "Whatever, I have no need for you." Byleth used magic and vanished from the scene.

"Where did he go!?"

"No time! We have to search for him and FAST!" Everyone got on the wyverns and they soared through the air.
