Chrom was walking back and forth around the castle. The children watched him panic as he tried to calm himself down. Unfortunately Chrom was unable to calm down, he was so stressed out about the fact Byleth was planning to come to Ylisse at any moment.
Albedo sighed, "Chrom you need to calm down and rethink about what you're doing. If you don't calm down, how else are you going to be able to defend Ylisse when Byleth comes over to strike?"
"I know I need to calm down but I can't help but not be stressed out, I'm absolutely about losing the scrolls, I know I need to get rid of them but if Byleth gets his hands on them it's all over," Chrom explained. He looked down at himself and took another few deep breaths.
Albedo sighed, "Right now, I heard he's in Liyue right now. We still have time to prepare for when they come and attack us."
"I guess you make a point..." Suddenly there was a call from the communicators. Chrom answered the call and appeared was Sonic alongside Shez and Kirby.
Sonic waved, "Hey Chrom, hope you're doing alright."
"I'm... panicking but I'm doing alright for the most part, what's wrong?" Chrom said.
Sonic explained, "I got some huge news to tell you. Byleth has gained access to the scrolls of Liyue. He's after Firene right now."
"W-What?! I thought Zhongli and Eula would've put up a fight or something!"
"They did, the problem is their communicators are gray, they won't respond nor does it appear theirs are on. But they do appear to be alive, just not in the Liyue region for some reason..." Shez explained.
Albedo groaned, "That's not good at all, something had to happen to him. The more I realize, the more I know that Byleth is not messing around. We need to act now and stop stalling."
"You guys have to be careful, we don't know what else he's planning to do," Shez replied. The two nodded as the call ended. Chrom took a deep breath and looked down at himself.
Chrom ordered, "WE NEED TO PUT THE ENTIRE CASTLE ON LOCKDOWN NOW! STATIONS AT THE READY!" Chrom dashed around the castle to make sure all the soldiers were prepared. "WE MUST DEFEND YLISSE AT ALL COSTS!"
Lucina asked, "Father? What is even going on?!"
"I know this is a lot Lucina but... we are going to be under attack soon, if we don't do anything we will be in grave danger," Chrom explained.
Lucina questioned, "Do you know where Step-father is?"
"He's back in Almyra trying to protect it too. We're in a very tight situation and if we don't do anything we will be in grave danger," Chrom responded. Lucina looked down at her stuffed bunny and back at Chrom.
Lucina sighed, "Okay... I was just wondering why you were so serious all of a sudden." Chrom turned to Lucina and looked down at her. He took a deep breath and smiled.
"Everything will be okay, I promise you," Chrom replied with a smile. Lucina smiled back at him as Chrom turned over to face the entrance of the castle gates. "Albedo, do your best to keep on guard and warn me when he is close"
Albedo nodded, "Understood, I will do all I can to protect you and the scrolls."
Chrom announced, "SOLDIERS! Firene is being attacked by the villains and Byleth. Now I know how I told you that Byleth is my best friend but not at this hour! I need you all to defend Ylisse's castle with all your strength! We cannot fall down!
I'm going to count on Firene to protect themselves from Byleth. Otherwise we are in big trouble..." Chrom looked down at himself and back ahead of the road. "STAY STRONG!"
Albedo said with a smile, "You're a powerful commander Chrom. I just wanted to tell you that."
"I appreciate the comment, but we have no time for that. Just everyone be alert and make sure Byleth and those forsaken villains don't get anywhere near our crew!" Chrom ordered. The soldiers nodded as they got straight to work.
Albedo sighed, "Byleth... I can't believe you managed to be so insane that you had to force a lockdown on Ylisse's walls. Maybe soon you will be able to snap back to your senses. This has gone too far and needs to be stopped NOW."
"We need to stand strong, we cannot let him get to us. We must not let our guard down. If I ever order you all to attack, DO AS I SAY!!" Chrom shouted. The soldiers all shouted as Chrom looked down at himself. "You will be stopped Byleth. Even if this means harming you..."
Albedo sighed, "Let's do this then. LET'S PROTECT YLISSE!!"
