As Day Turns To Night ~ Chapter 86

There wasn't anything during the days in Vila. Sure there was a day of devotion but it felt... off. Like nobody knew what was going on anymore. Those winter nights turned into spring nights and Olive had just begun. The trees were sprouting slowly as Chrom walked down the path around the park.

He was finally back in his great lord attire but he couldn't forget how long it had been since Mario's sudden passing. He left everyone behind seven months ago. Chrom couldn't let go of that. Suddenly he heard footsteps.

"We're back again..." Someone laughed. Chrom took out a bow and arrow and noticed it was Byleth and Rafal. Alongside everyone else who was working with them. Chrom noticed their team had continued to shrink, for the past several attacks there was no Ike.

Rafal laughed, "I'm almost certain that you missed us! Did you?" Chrom stood there in silence as he took a deep breath.

"I didn't miss you all in particular... rather I miss the real you Byleth!"

"Aww, how adorable! You miss the real me so much!" Byleth mocked. Chrom then shot an arrow directly at Byleth. He barely dodged the attack and looked toward Chrom in anger. "You want to attack now?!"

Chrom yelled, "I'm doing it to protect us!" Right as Chrom said that he saw Robin standing alongside Byleth. Chrom didn't know what to do. Soon Alcryst and Alear came walking by and noticed the group.

Alear asked, "How did that one month break go?"

"It went as well as I hoped... I learned more information about the Netherworld and how to access it. Soon I will be there and the CROWN WILL BE MINE!!" Byleth laughed. The heroes looked at him in frustration but soon Byleth got ready to cast a spell.

"HAH!" Kirby threw something at Byleth and he was immediately stopped from making the spell happen. Byleth looked at the heroes in disgust as he got ready to attack again, this time with his sword. Then he whipped them all.

Chrom jumped back and shouted, "ENOUGH!! YOU WILL NEVER GET YOUR HANDS ON THE CROWN!!" Byleth stared at him and then swung his sword at him in rage. Chrom jumped out of the way and witnessed the anger within Byleth's eyes. He noticed his pupils weren't green, they were purple.

He landed onto the ground and looked toward Byleth. "Is something troubling you?" Chrom glared at him and then took out falchion. He looked over and then the two dashed at one another. They clashed blades with each other but soon Byleth overcame Chrom.

"What the..." Soon Byleth's aura got worse, it was purple surrounding him. Chrom stared at him and then the heroes got into action. One by one they did as many attacks as they could toward Byleth but... he was unaffected.

Byleth mocked, "You can continue to do all you like! I will be unstoppable!" The heroes stood there staring at one another in worry. Byleth smiled at them and got prepared to whip them.

"Just a moment!" Alear shouted. Byleth stopped and stared at the heroes in confusion. The villains made sure to get ready to attack if necessary. "Why are you so much stronger?"

Byleth laughed, "It's only because I continue to absorb the energy within the surrounding air! Nothing bad really!" The heroes looked at him with shock and worry as Byleth smiled at them. "Nothing... to be worrying about..."

"ABSOLUTELY NOT!" Then Chrom jumped into the air and slammed his blade on Byleth. Byleth fell down and saw the blood coming out of his chest. He stared at it and then turned toward Chrom. He smiled widely and then got prepared to kick him. In the process Chrom jumped off just before he could.

Byleth grunted, "You were able to move out of the way... SO WHAT?!" Byleth got his sword ready and then whipped his sword directly at Chrom. Chrom was slapped across the face and felt a cut mark on his face. Byleth got prepared to whip again and that's when Veyle shot a spell at him.

Byleth jumped back and moved his hair out of the way. He stared at the heroes and then turned to the villains. The heroes got themselves prepared to attack again when all of a sudden all of them heard thundering roaring in the distance.

"First rainstorm of the year!" Byleth laughed. The heroes looked over and soon it immediately started to rain. They were all poured upon. But they were all still willing to fight one another. Alear and Veyle dashed in and attacked Byleth but he was able to move safely out of the way.

Robin and Eirika worked together to attack Chrom and Marianne but they were able to fight back in retaliation. Soon Rafal threw his axe and it nearly slammed onto Kirby. Shez jumped into action and attempted to fight Byleth but he kicked him out the way.

Byleth sighed, "So... none of you are willing to give up?" The heroes glared at the villains as the villains smiled at one another. "LET'S GO AHEAD AND HAVE A FUN BRAWL SHALL WE?"

Shez ordered, "WE MUST KEEP OUR GUARD UP EVERYONE!!"
