Lovebirds Under Lightning ~ Chapter 108

"You're always looking so formal when in battle or not, I think that's my favorite part about you," Claude said with a smile. Chrom stared at him and began to blush intensely, he wasn't used to the constant praise all the time. He was always nervous around Claude because he made him feel all fuzzy inside.

Chrom said, "You're so carefree, I love that about you..." The two smiled as the two gently kissed on the mouth. They looked at each other and then smiled again. Both of them were blushing so much, but they were happy despite the massive storm that was at them. "I enjoy it when we have time together. It's... all so nice."

Claude laughed, "Me too, it feels like you and I never have enough time together." Chrom nodded as he kissed Claude again. This time they didn't let go. Claude's wyvern soon fell asleep as the two were stuck together, they didn't care it was a wonderful feeling.

The storm continued raging on and eventually the two stopped kissing. They just were filled with joy and happiness, nothing could change that. They were just far too happy with each other. "No words can describe how grateful I am to have you in my life, as my husband and one of my closest friends... I still remember that day when I confessed to you..."

"What did you want to meet me here Chrom?" Claude asked. Chrom stood there staring at him. He had flowers behind his back and was nervous, what if this wasn't going to go as well as he planned? All that hard work for what reason? No, he had to try, he wouldn't know how Claude felt unless he told him.

Chrom took out the flowers and was found blushing a ton. Claude was stunned after seeing the flowers and soon he began to blush. "For the longest time, I realized how much I enjoy being around you. More than ever before, when you were there for me during the darkest days of my life... you were there.

I know these flowers are so sudden but this is an expression of my gratitude to you! I also wanted to tell you... one... simple thing... Claude, no matter what ends up happening... I have to tell you before I drown myself in regret. So..." Claude stared at Chrom in shock, he didn't know what to say.

Claude asked, "W-What?! I don't know what you're talking about!?" Chrom was blushing so much, he was so nervous and yet excited to tell him how he felt. Chrom took a deep breath and walked over to Claude.

"Claude... I have a confession to make,"

"A confession!?"

"I'm... in love with you, after you helped me that day in the park I felt something inside me stirring up. I thought to myself that this was nonsensical, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized that... I need you. I love you so much... and these flowers aren't just about gratitude, but my feelings as well," Chrom said. Claude stared at him and smiled at Chrom.

Claude laughed, "I'm in love with you too Chrom. Actually I've been in love with you ever since we spent more time together as I helped you recover from Emelia's death. You were so... charming." Chrom stared at him and kept on blushing. He couldn't stop, no matter how hard he tried. "What's the matter?"

Chrom said while panicking, "I never expected that you would like me back! This is amazing! Thank you so much Claude! You're amazing and... wow!" Claude grabbed Chrom's hand and held his flowers in his other arm. Then he pressed his lips against Chrom's, Chrom embraced the kiss and let it consume them...

"You were such a nervous wreck when you were telling me how you felt, it was super cute!" Claude laughed. Chrom felt his face turning red from embarrassment. "Aww, are you embarrassed?"

Chrom mumbled, "Maybe a little embarrassed...." Claude stared at him and started to giggle. Chrom felt his face getting more red, he was blushing from embarrassment. "Oh come on Claude! That's not funny!"

Claude laughed, "Sorry! You're just turning red from the embarrassment! I didn't mean to be rude!" Chrom slightly pushed him and shook his head from disbelief. He felt idiotic but... he was happy it was Claude telling him this.

"Please, I remember so many good memories with us, we went on dates often... I remember how I used to get mad over my order always being constantly wrong without a fail," Chrom giggled. Claude nodded as the two held hands again. They were just so happy together, thinking about the good times.

Everything bad had vanished from Chrom's mind, he could only think of the good memories. He grabbed Claude's hand and then kissed it. Claude was stunned after that but he was starting to get more and more happy by the second. Soon the two stood up and then they started hugging each other.

They had completely forgotten about everything that was happening. They were just happily together for the first time in a while. Nothing was bothering them, they were just happy with each other. Then soon they heard footsteps coming, but they ignored them. They stopped hugging as they kissed each other on the cheek.

Claude laughed, "When we get back home to the family, we desperately need some time together. I feel just so joyous when I'm around you. Nothing will change that."

"I as well, I feel like when I'm with you everything from my mind disappears, you're the only thing on my mind, I'm so grateful to be married to you," Chrom said with a smile.

"Playtime is over you little lovebirds..." Someone said in the distance. The two looked over and saw Byleth standing there. Chrom took out his sword and got ready to attack. Claude got his bow and arrow ready as well. "Aww, did I ruin your little date? I'm so sorry..." Rafal walked alongside Byleth and smiled.

Chrom ordered, "What do you want Byleth?!"

"Nothing much, I just want to take your life..." Chrom glared at him as Claude got himself ready as well. Byleth smiled at them as he got his sword prepared to whip them. There was only silence and the loud thunder of the electric shocks becoming more and more haywire by the second.

Claude said, "Let's get on my wyvern, we can hit him from up there." Chrom nodded as Claude pet his wyvern to get up. Byleth attempted to whip them but the two got up and were able to safely get into the air.

Byleth mocked, "How cute! Two lovebirds are going to fight me, I'm sure that will go well..." He looked toward Rafal as everyone at the scene got prepared to fight.
