Miraity, a time for the snow to finally start falling in Hero Town and in many parts of the world. It was a beautiful evening in Hero Town. The sunset was coming as it illuminated the white snow on the ground. The sounds of someone's footsteps crunched in the snow. It was Byleth, he had made it to Icarus Mountain.

It was calm surprisingly, but the harsh storm weather was going to arrive very soon. Byleth got his uniform prepared for the harsh weather conditions. He was tired of this and wanted his hands on the book.

"Soon that book will be mine... and nobody will have the guts to kill me..." Byleth said with a smile. Suddenly he heard rustling in the distance. He searched the area and soon saw a blue blob. It had a long tongue, Byleth knew exactly who it was... "Gooey?"

Gooey waved his tongue and smiled at Byleth. Gooey was able to speak but for some reason he avoided talking to him. He stood there staring at him and back up the mountain. He was unsure what to do, he didn't know if he wanted to drag him up or leave him be. Still it was odd for him to be in the Icarus Mountains.

"What on Dawn are you doing here?" Byleth asked. Gooey started jumping on ahead as Byleth stood there watching him. "Gooey! Listen to me and explain your reasoning!" But no matter how hard Byleth tried, Gooey refused to say anything or do anything.

Gooey paused and then slowly turned to Byleth. Then he pointed up the mountain. Byleth was unsure what was going on but soon he felt the weather getting harsh. Suddenly Gooey started rolling down the mountain. Byleth quickly grabbed him and took a deep breath.

Byleth groaned, "Fine I'll carry you, just stick by me and we'll be fine..." Gooey nodded as they went up the mountain together. Gooey had trouble keeping up with Byleth so Byleth decided to tie him up and drag him up that way.

The gusty winds, the snow blizzard, it was all so intense. Much more intense than some weather conditions in other regions of Dawn. Still he was determined to make it up there. Gooey on the other hand was just enjoying the entire trip, not giving a care in the world. Byleth kept watch on what was happening, but there was so much snow the way up was impossible.

Byleth suggested, "Hey Gooey, do you want to take a moment to rest? I doubt the heroes are coming anywhere close." Gooey stared at him and then slowly nodded. The two went into a cave and sat down on the snow ground. It was safe from the storm patterns, so Byleth quickly made a campfire.

Gooey sat there staring at the fire, then he looked up to Byleth. He seemed to just be staring at the fire, thinking about something. Gooey soon noticed there was something off about Byleth. His sword had a purple aura instead of the usual red aura it had. Gooey knew that something was terribly wrong with Byleth.

He slowly got up and walked over to the snow. He tried his best not to appear suspicious by Byleth. Then he turned over to Byleth where was sitting on the ground slowly drifting to sleep. That's when Gooey saw it as the perfect opportunity to strike. He rolled over and gently tried grabbing the sword from his back. But he noticed another thing, the scroll.

Carefully, he tried to grab the scroll from Byleth; but no matter how hard he tried, it was stuck to him. He kept on pulling harder and harder but no luck. That scroll was on tight. Gooey rolled over to the side and looked around to see how he could get it off. Then he had the idea to cut his belt so the scroll would get off him.

Gooey rolled over to grab a stick and tried to sharpen it on the ground. He did his best and walked over. He wrapped his tongue around the stick and gently tried cutting the belt with it. Unfortunately, it snapped in half. Gooey badly wanted to save Byleth but he was unable to. He decided it was best to warn the heroes about the situation, they were his friends so they had to care!

He got up slowly and that's when Byleth shot awake. Gooey was unaware he was awake and looked around outside. He was able to roll down the mountain just fine. He was ready to go when Byleth grabbed him from the ground.

Byleth laughed, "Running away are you? But you're my partner now! You won't be able to see those heroes anytime soon..." Byleth then threw Gooey back into the cave and placed a spell on him. "There, now you will be able to obey my commands, do I make myself clear?"

Gooey stood there staring at Byleth but slowly nodded. He was still able to think for himself, determined to leave Byleth's side and get help from the heroes...
