"Gods... the weather here is bitter. I wonder how that tornado held up in order to stop the heroes in my tracks," Byleth muttered to himself. He took off his gloves and realized how cold his hands were. He touched them and knew he had to warm himself up.

He casted a spell on his body to help himself heat up. There was still a long way up to the top of the mountain. He had to find a way to get up there quicker. Teleporting could work but he wasn't fully skilled at it. Byleth took a deep breath and got ready to teleport.

"HEY!" He paused and turned around. From there, there was a girl who had long hair and her color scheme consisted of white, gray and black. "What are you doing up here?"

Byleth groaned, "I beg your pardon? Who exactly are you?"

"I'm glad you actually care about who I am but my name is Veyle, you're one of the heroes aren't you?" The girl introduced. Byleth stood there quietly, he was not in the mood to answer her question.

Byleth groaned, "Perhaps I am one of the heroes and perhaps I'm not, that just depends on who you ask."

"Who I ask? That just means you're one of the heroes! I just don't get it... why are you alone without any of the other heroes?" Veyle questioned. Byleth stood there quietly. He didn't say anything. "Hello?"

Byleth yelled, "OUT OF MY WAY ALREADY!" Veyle got pushed away as Byleth stormed forward. Veyle chased after him and looked around the area. "Why are you following me?!"

Veyle shouted, "You're a hero and you know my sister! I am trying to find her but I got myself lost here in the Icarus Mountains."

"I don't have time to-" Suddenly Byleth came up with a brilliant idea. He thought of the possibility of being able to use Veyle to his advantage and get up to the chapel easier. "I'll help you find your sister under one condition, you help me get to the top of this mountain."

Veyle asked, "Why do you need to get to the top of the mountain?"

"I heard there's something up at the top... I'm curious and I want to know what's up there," Byleth explained. Veyle looked up and back at Byleth.

Veyle questioned, "Are you certain you're going to help me find my sister?"

"Yes, I'm absolutely sure," Byleth said with a smile. Veyle nodded and started walking ahead. Byleth slowly followed her, getting ready to cast a spell on her. "You... will do everything I ask of you. That way I will make sure you don't betray me..." Byleth then casted the spell on Veyle.

Veyle asked, "What... the..." Byleth smiled and looked at her.

"You're going to take me up there in a much quicker way, alright? You know you're very skilled with spells..." Byleth giggled. Veyle looked at him and back at herself. Then she nodded. She got ready to cast a spell on them to teleport them up there.

Veyle asked, "Where do you want us to teleport?"

"We're going up to the Chapel..." Byleth replied with a smile. Veyle nodded and teleported them up the mountain. It was going to be a little while but soon they would be at the top. Meanwhile, the crew barely was able to land on the top of the mountain.

Alear sighed, "We need to get inside the chapel now. We don't have any idea of what Byleth is remotely planning and more specifically where he is on this mountain."

Alcryst muttered, "This view is incredible... too bad we are unable to appreciate it. Otherwise Byleth will make it there before us."

"We'll be able to enjoy the view later, right now we need to focus on protecting the book from his hands," Then the heroes ran inside the chapel. They soon noticed the entire chapel was empty.

Shez asked, "Are we certain there's a book in here that needs to be kept away?"

"We just need to defend ourselves once Byleth makes it here," Alear replied. The heroes nodded in agreement as they got into their positions. They were covered in clothing suited for the harsh weather but they were ready to fight.

Alcryst groaned, "I'm going to take a few clothing pieces off. It's really hot here..."

"I agree, our body heat is creating heat in here despite the horrendous conditions outdoors," Chrom replied. The heroes stood there staring at one another and checking the door. They had no idea what was going to happen or if they were too late.

Shez muttered, "This is giving me bad vibes... something tells me that he already got his hands on the book."

"That's crazy! We're here before him and even if he teleported he wouldn't be able to succeed so easily!" Alear exclaimed. Then suddenly they heard clapping in the distance. They turned over and saw Byleth smiling at them while clapping.

Byleth laughed, "Congratulations! You are even slower than ever before..."

"W-What?"
