Hi friends and readers!
So, I was kinda cooking up this ship for a while, and I FINALLY got around to making a drawing for it. As a bonus, this can even count as an intro for Madoka into my art book, as well as featuring Suzumi as a returning guest! I even came up with a ship name while drawing this: ✨ MadoZumi ✨ and fun fact this is probably the first time I've paired up two of my own demon slayer ocs!
Now as for the artistic process, side views are still a challenge for me and probably will be for a while—even with the help of a base (shown above!) I still had to redo both of their faces a couple of times before conceding that this was the best they'd get XD
I did however have a lot of fun with their hair and skirts, as well as Madoka's haori! Yay, optimism!
And yes I can imagine that Suzumi's mom is very proud of her daughter for finally opening up to someone who isn't family- lots of proud mom moments are in their future! On top of that, I can kind of see Madoka and Alice forming a bond as friends in the process, since both of them went through something similar! As for Hideki, he's trying his best—most likely I see him offering quiet support from the sidelines XD
And now it's time for everyone's favorite segment, the taisho era secret!
Word to the wise is that Madoka's ideal date would be going to a flower garden and watching the sunset, while Suzumi's would be a visiting a tea shop and sampling flavors!
