Hi friends! :3
So help me I have been trying to find a way to introduce Eiri to my art book, and while this wasn't exactly the way I thought I'd end up doing it, this drawing was a lot of fun and I thought why not share it?
Now you might be thinking: "Melody, Eiri and Daiki are practically opposites what the heck made you decide to pair them in a drawing?" Well it just so happens that one common interest they share is dance, and while Eiri is more seasoned in ballroom styles (even if she does keep it a secret), I could see Daiki being interested in learning and able to pick up on it pretty quickly! Plus as a bonus I thought it'd be a good way for her to work on her tendency to constantly seek solitude, we love character development in this establishment XD
...okay that and out of the other possible options for my beans I had in mind, he was the most likely to do it lolz
Now since it's her intro I think it's fitting that I go over the art process for her first, which luckily was actually reall smooth—I'm actually so proud of how she turned out oh my goodness. I had to make some minor adjustments, but those are what I'd like to call minor details XD
As for Daiki, he was mostly okay when it came to the head/face/hair, though when it came to the body it ended up being a bit of an endeavor to say the least—I had an outfit design in mind for him but as we know I'm not the best at drawing dudes so that was always gonna be the part with the most learning curves and I knew that going into it so it's fine I'm fine XD
fun fact I tried to include callbacks to their original outfits in both of their outfits here :D
Anyways, time to wrap this up with a taisho secret!
Since her adoptive parents wouldn't allow her to dance with a partner, she would practice the steps for both parts, and as a result can take either "role"—she particularly enjoys the waltz and tango styles!
