Hi friends and readers!! Hope you didn't miss me too much, but perhaps you'll be happy to know that I did in fact spend like all day yesterday drawing (or maybe you're wondering if I have a life- I don't know pick your poison XD). In other good news, my sister gave me her old iPad mini, so I actually did this with a fancy stylus (her old Apple Pencil)! It took some adjusting to cause I'm so used to using my phone and index finger, but oh my goodness now that I've adjusted I can already tell that my drawings are getting more precise :0 (no this isn't sponsored-). So, to celebrate this, I present to you the Mochizuki twins, Yuna and Daiki! :D
The two of them are very close, especially after what happened in their past, and they often fight as a duo on missions, so I figured this would be the perfect pose for them (the base/reference I used is shown above)! They compliment and contrast each other really well, both in their designs and in their breathing styles, and I think this was the perfect way to show that :3
And now, I'm sure you're all waiting for this part—it's time for me to detail the drawing process in more detail than anyone asked for! :D

Oh my goodness friends, if I thought some of my past drawings were endeavors, I have not even seen a fraction of what a true endeavor was. Imagine this: you're me, you just finished up a drawing on ibis paint and you're proud of it, and you go to post it in your art book only to realize YOU MESSED UP THE ASPECT RATIO and now it's all blurry! So, because you're committed to this bit now and don't wanna redraw the whole thing from scratch, you proceed to outline the whole entire thing AGAIN and then painstakingly go layer by layer to clean up the coloring. That, my friends, is how I can best describe the artistic process for this-
HOWEVER because I like to be an optimist, I will say that before the whole technology fiasco, the drawing process was actually pretty smooth! I was even able to get Daiki's hair and haori right on the first try!! (Well maybe the bangs took some minor adjusting but I have a pounding headache when I'm writing this, so let me have this XD). Yay Melody can finally draw a dude!!
Also I had so much fun with Yuna's hair—I decided to give it a little bit of wave to add some dimension and show it being windswept and all of that good stuff, and her skirt was a lot of fun to do as well :D
Suddenly doing odysseus for my epic series au thing sounds like a walk in the heckin park compared to what I did for this- I will never complain about Ren's hair again (that's a lie honestly-)
And now, the moment you've all been waiting for: the taisho era secret!
If Yuna didn't become a demon slayer, her dream would to be a piano teacher! As for Daiki, his dream would be to own his own restaurant! :D
