"She'll be okay, right?" Tony asked. Peter turned to look at the man only to see the worried look in his eyes. That was his daughter, who wouldn't be worried? Peter shared his worries. Bruce looked up at Tony and let out a sigh. "I don't know yet. Her heart took a heavy beating. The Arc Reactor didn't work like it's supposed to." Tony's knees began to weaken. He gasped and fought the tears. He was really doing his best to hide his sobs. He was on the edge of breaking down and collapsing right here on the floor. Peter wouldn't blame him if he did. Peter looked at Bruce to give Tony a second. "There's nothing you can do for her? Nothing at all?" He asked the man calmly. Bruce started shaking his head. "Kid, I'm doing everything I can. Strange might come by to check on her. Maybe he sees something I don't, but it seems pretty clear to me. I will do my best to think of something. I'll do some more research, I'm just going to need a minute." Peter nodded slowly. Bruce glanced at Y/n and then back at Tony. "I'll be back to check on her in thirty minutes. Friday is hooked up to her as well in case anything changes." Tony nodded along. His hand was covering the lower half of his face whilst he looked at his daughter. Y/n seemed so helpless and broken. Peter wanted to take her pain, pull her out of this.

"How did she even manage this?" Tony whispered. Peter wasn't certain if he was only talking to himself or to him as well. "My little girl." More tears started to form at this point. Tony really tried to hold them back. "Mister Stark-"
"I don't want to hear it, kid. Don't tell me it'll be okay." Tony looked at Peter. It made Peter sad to look at him like this. He would start crying himself. "I don't understand how we didn't see it. Neither of us."
It was weird. Y/n was the villain, and she would have destroyed so much and risked almost an entire universe just because she thought that she was doing right. She wanted to protect Peter and herself from any danger. But she went too far. "Mister Stark, it's still Y/n," Peter said calmly. He looked at his girlfriend tucked in and knocked out. God knows when she would wake up again. If she woke up. Bruce didn't know. He didn't have an indication and he refused to promise them anything. Tony started shaking his head slightly as he looked at Y/n. "She reminded me of him. Thanos." Peter's heart sank further in his chest. He knows how much trauma Thanos caused mostly with Tony. To see someone you love more than yourself – and that was saying something for Tony Stark – turn into what you fear most. Peter didn't want to think about that. "So driven by an idea. Determined. She would risk anything to get what she wants. She scared me." Peter could only agree with him. Neither of them knew where this came from. She hasn't exactly had a chance to explain herself either with Bruce keeping her in an artificial coma. It was for her safety and others.

Tony looked at the boy again. "I have no idea what we're supposed to do when she wakes up, kid. We can't just have her roaming around and pretend like nothing happened." He spoke up. Tony was right. They couldn't have her go free unpunished. It was strange to think that. Punishing Y/n. They wouldn't lock her into prison or something like that. But people have been locked away for less. "We'll figure something out. Even after she wakes up we still have time." Peter reminded the man. Tony looked at his daughter. "Mister Stark?" Peter started, "You're not afraid of her, are you?" He felt like he was talking to a fragile little thing. This was Tony Stark. Though, Peter had never seen him this broken before. Was this what Tony felt when Y/n and Peter disappeared for five years? "I don't know how to answer that question," Tony answered. He didn't know what to think. Peter knew one thing for sure, he wasn't scared of Y/n. He couldn't be scared of her. Peter turned his head to Y/n again. He carefully locked their fingers together. He wasn't sure if Tony could see it or not. Peter wanted her to know he was there if she could. "This is not the first time she's done something like this, Pete. She keeps taking risks. Making dangerous machines and lying. With good intentions, I know that. Y/n always tries to do good. But this is going too far. Who knows what could have happened if we hadn't shown up in time?" Tony sighed. "She promised she would never do anything like this again."
