"Give me something to work with here. A little hint would do." Peter said. They were sitting across from each other in the backseat of the car. Their long legs pulled up to their chests as they chatted. Harley rubbed his chin with the palm of his hand and his fingers. You had to do something to entertain yourself. "I can't think of anything else." He mumbled to himself. Peter tried his best to piece together the clues that Harley had come up with already. A little guessing game to pass the time. It may sound childish, but it's fun. Bucky was still at the house – neither of the boys had seen him in the last twenty minutes – trying his best to do his job. But being trapped in a car could make twenty minutes feel like an eternity. "So it's not Star Wars or Alien? Not even E.T.?" Harley shook his head. "If I wanted you to guess E.T. I would've mentioned crying my eyes out. I really thought he died." He said. "We all did! My aunt assured me the little guy was fine and just wait, but I didn't believe her." True story. Tony has always been impressed by how many pop culture references Peter came up with. "I am so confused. Is it WALL-E?" Harley shook his head. "Nope. Cute movie, but no." The lack of hints was killing him. Peter, a movie expert, should be able to figure out this movie. He couldn't help but wonder where Bucky was right now. They would have known if he was caught, right? "So it does have some aliens... Men in Black?" Peter finally guessed. Harley clapped his hands together. "Ding, ding, ding." Peter smiled and turned to look over his shoulder. Really nothing had changed so far. The same lights turned on, and there were no strange shadows or movements inside; it was quiet.
Harley looked past Peter's head to the house. He heard all about the Vulture from Peter and a thing or two from Y/n. What she told him was mostly about Liz and how badly she treated Peter back in the day by hardly acknowledging him until she wanted some attention from him. "You think she knew about this? His daughter, I mean." It wouldn't come as a shock if she did. Something still felt off about Liz suddenly reaching out to Peter the way she did. She had no idea that he was Spider-Man – at least, not that he knew. He didn't tell her. When she left, he was certain she had no clue. "I don't know the girl. Think she's capable of that?" Peter shrugged slightly. "I'm not sure. I haven't seen her in ages. No idea how much she's changed. Her dad's absence must've had a major impact on her. I'm not surprised if she's had some kind of awakening." Harley looked at Peter. "That only happens in the movies." Suddenly, they spotted Bucky Barnes appearing from the shadows and walking in a straight line toward the car. "He doesn't look happy," Harley said. "I don't think he ever looks happy while he's on the job." Bucky opened the door to the driver's seat. He peeked over his shoulders and checked the area before he got in. "Did you find what you were looking for?" Both boys were dumping a thousand questions on him about what he saw across the street. Bucky sat there in silence and waited for them to finish their rant of questions. When they fell silent, Bucky glanced over his shoulder. "Are you done?" Two more questions followed and Bucky smiled softly at the two and waited for them to finish. "Now we're done," Peter mumbled. The man started the car and started to drive away. Harley and Peter quickly buckled their seatbelts after sitting normally in their seats again.
As Bucky made his first turn – Peter and Harley moved along with the car – he opened his mouth to answer most of their questions. He never had to report like this to anyone. A small memory of sitting in that chair came back to him along with a small shiver of being tortured. "There is one room in the back, on the first floor, that looks like an office. There doesn't seem to be anything there, but there are some locks on some of the cabinets there. Not too hard to crack open. I don't think he's hiding anything here, really, but I'm not surprised if he has his most important details hidden something here. Locations, passwords." He explained, "It seems too easy to break in, so there has to be something there to keep everything locked in safely. If he's really as powerful and dangerous as you say he is." Peter nodded along. That's something they could have expected. Toomes was a very personal and careful man. It made sense if he hid his most important information in his own house where he could hide it all. They couldn't find any weapons there, but they might be able to find names or even locations and plans. "I can try to get in and see what I can find, but I have to do that some other day. Preferably during the day when no one else is here. I overheard them talking about some fair at a school they want to go to." That could be their way in and it was easy. As long as Toomes didn't suddenly show up. "I can get you the files you need, but you're gonna have to wait a little longer. Two days, tops. Is that okay?" Peter gulped. He didn't know what was going on with Y/n or how long that was going to take. Suddenly that wave of anxiety and nervousness washed over him. "I know you're nervous about Y/n. It could be a nice distraction." Peter nodded his head and agreed with him. "I just want to have it." He replied. "I will get it for you, kid. No matter what happens with her."
