Peter sat on top of Y/n's bed, playing with one of the stuffed animals, a monkey, that was sitting on there. Morgan must've brought it over from her room when she heard her sister would be home soon. Peter hated the thought of Morgan trying to figure out where her sister was right now and what was happening. Harley was still sitting on the floor, now with a pillow behind his back to make it all a little more comfortable. His laptop is on his lap and the Edith glasses are right beside him. "You find something yet?" Peter asked as he tossed the monkey up into the air and caught him again. Y/n and Morgan would both strangle him if he let something happen to any stuffed animals. Harley silently shook his head and rubbed his chin with his hand. "No, having access to everything is not helping us right now. I can't see a thing. The only possible lead I found is some old PC that has been shut down for days." Peter sighed and tossed the monkey back up into the air and attached a web to its arm and the other end to the ceiling so it could swing back and forth above them. Harley briefly glanced up and smiled a little at the stuffed animal swinging around in the air. "Did you check the location?" Peter asked him. Harley nodded and held up his laptop to show the coordinates that Harley found. "It's somewhere in a dumpster behind a building. We can check it out, but the signal's distorted, I wouldn't be surprised if he smashed it just in case. Beyond repair, I mean." Peter groaned and hit the monkey's leg again to make it go a little faster. "He learned how to cover his track. It also didn't seem like he was working with anyone. Last time he had a team. This time he's all by himself. Completely off the radar." That was the most annoying part, and they should have expected it.
Toomes knew Peter would come after him. Smart move. Smash all that could be tracked by anyone who tries, cover your tracks, and work alone. He learned from his mistakes. "I can try to search for other devices but I doubt I'll find any." It seemed like such a good plan. Peter groaned and grabbed a pillow to put it over his face. Harley glanced up at him over his shoulder. "Toomes has upped his game, hasn't he?" He asked. "Seems like it, yeah." Peter mumbled into the pillow before he removed it, "I'm trying to figure out what he's going to do next or where he's going. He fled somewhere when Tony let him go." Peter would've understood if Tony had gone after him, but he couldn't take Y/n back all by herself as much as he wanted to. They were too far away. And he didn't know what would happen to Y/n if he swung her all that way by himself. "I have no idea what he wants. He wanted to use Y/n's systems and whatever, but he just flew off. He didn't harm her or try to take her with him. You get what I'm saying?" Harley nodded along and put his laptop on the floor beside him. He pulled one of his knees up to his chest and rested his arm on top of it. "I do. It's weird. But I can't find out what he wants, where he is, where he was, or where he's going to be. The guy's a mystery. Like finding a needle in a pile of hay." Peter turned his face toward Harley. "Bring a magnet is what Tony always says. But that magnet is not working or we don't have one at all." He said. The plan seemed perfect but after only an hour they were already stuck. Peter felt stupid, as if he couldn't do anything. Harley must've felt the exact same way. He could tell just by looking at him. "Do you think there's something we're not seeing or thinking about right now? You've got a big brain." Harley smirked a little. "Not as big as hers, though. Or Tony's." The both of them chuckled. "You think she's doing okay?"
Bruce studied the open wound and Strange's hands that were doing their best to fix her up the best he could. He held a tissue in his hand to wipe away any drop of sweat that formed on his forehead. They couldn't risk her getting an infection or anything like that. They develop fast, especially since she's still so young. They hadn't said a word to each other for over thirty minutes now. Strange was completely focused on the limp girl lying before him. The beeps on the monitor were barely hearable anymore. Bruce had never been this worried throughout his entire life. He looked at her and the anxiety started bubbling in his veins. This is only a snippet of how Tony and Pepper must be feeling right now. She was stable, though, and alive. That's all that mattered right now. Bruce's mind slipped to the image of the monitor becoming silent every few minutes. No more beeping sounds, only one flat line. He tried not to think about that. Strange's mouth was moving a little, but no audible words came out. He was talking himself through the procedure without pulling Bruce in as well and risk getting distracted.
