When Harley came in that morning, his eyes were blown wide. Y/n was sitting on the floor by her desk. Her laptop was in her lap, acting like nothing was wrong. "What happened here?" Y/n lifted her chin. She looked so innocent. But Harley would not go for it. "Nothing." Harley pointed at the smashed drones that were still scattered around everywhere. He was shocked at this discovery. "That is not nothing, Y/n." When he focused back on her, he could see a guilty look in her eyes. "I got angry. It's my fault." Her voice was small and quiet. Harley looked around the lab. "You got angry?" He picked up a piece of one of the drones that lay by his feet. Nothing to repair here. Anger boiled inside of him. He worked so hard. He groaned and threw the drone piece at the wall, breaking it even more. "Angry!?" He marched over to her desk. He grabbed the glass of water she brought and threw it at the same wall. "You owe me a glass," Y/n said calmly. It almost sounded like she was unaware of the mess around her. "What the fuck, Y/n/n? You have a little tantrum over something and just decide to smash months of work?!" Harley shouted. It felt wrong to yell at her. She looked so small and innocent. But he was so angry with her. He was looking at the chaos and all he felt was anger. "I'm sorry." Y/n apologized. She sounded like a little piece of broken glass. No, no, she couldn't act all innocent right now and get away with it. "Sorry doesn't cut it, Y/n/n."

She looked up at him again. "No need to get so angry. I'm fixing it already." Her voice sounded so soft and quiet. Harley wanted to wrap her up in a blanket and hold her. She looked sad. He had to push that aside for now. "I am angry, Y/n! How can I not be? We spent months working on this!" He yelled. She nodded slowly. "I know that." She slowly shut her laptop. "Lee, I'm sorry." Harley finally noticed the hurt in her voice. Actual pain. He was still angry. But he couldn't yell at her when she looked like this. She looked like she smashed herself into a thousand pieces. He couldn't do that. Not to her. "Hey, hey, what- What happened?" He asked her. His tone getting a lot softer and more gentle now. "Nothing." She answered but he could see her watery, red eyes. "Y/n." Her bottom lip started to quiver as she couldn't hold it in again. Harley crouched down to sit beside her. "Y/n/n..." He wrapped his arms tightly around her. Small tears rolled from her eyes and she tried to wipe them away harshly with her hands. "Don't do that." Harley took her hands in one of his own and used the other to gently wipe her tears away with his thumb. He felt like an ass for yelling at her. She scooted closer to him. She wasn't crying horribly. Just some leftover tears. Which made him feel even worse. They sat like that until she pulled away. Poor thing.

"Was it Parker?" Harley asked her abruptly. If it was, he was going to murder him. Look what she did! But, luckily, she started shaking her head. "No. MJ. She was saying horrible things about me. She thinks I'm a spoiled brat and a horrible friend. Then Morgan- I snapped at her. I got into a- I came here and just started smashing. I'm so sorry, Harley." Her sobs only became louder. Harley rested one of his hands on her head and held her. "I didn't mean to." Harley pulled her into his lap. Her head rested against his shoulder. "Are you hurt?" That was all he could think about. He hadn't even checked her for any injuries yet. She shook her head again and looked up at him with glassy eyes. She apologized over and over again. It's almost like she wouldn't stop. That was until Harley placed a hand over her mouth and looked her straight in the eyes. "It's okay." He assured her, "Does Parker know about this?" She nodded again against him. Her finger trailed over his collarbone over his shirt. "Yes. My dad told him. He's coming over tonight." Y/n answered.
Harley wondered why he didn't come over the other night. Why would you leave your girlfriend alone after something like that? Maybe Tony called him this morning to not worry him or overstimulate Y/n in any way. Whatever the case, Peter did know, that was good. "Did he say something about MJ?"
"That she was wrong for saying those things. He and Ned are going to talk to her again. That's what dad told me. He was standing behind me when it happened. He's just scared of losing his friends. And I get that. It just made me wonder if it would've been better if I was never a part of their group. I don't want to ruin things for them."
