Y/n stood in front of the mirror checking her dress. She wasn't sure if she should go with this one or with the pants and a nice sweater. She wanted it to look casual and not too much like an office outfit. She couldn't show up in ripped jeans, she knew that, but she wouldn't dress up too fancy. Aside from that, she needed to think about the shoes underneath. Both outfits looked great with both sneakers and heels. The sneakers obviously fit better and wouldn't stab her in her feet all night. If she did wear them then she'd have a good excuse for Peter to carry her back home. Though she didn't really need a reason, Peter would carry her anywhere if she wanted him to. "Whatcha doin?" She jumped at the sudden noise behind her. She looked into the mirror and saw Natasha standing in the doorway. "I need to get used to that again." Y/n sighed, "I'm trying on outfits for the presentation. I don't want to be overdressed and brag or come across as spoiled, you know." She explained. Natasha walked over to the girl's closet. "I would lose the dress. By the way, is that mine?" Y/n looked down at her outfit and her heels. "Oh, yeah, I have most of your old clothes here in my closet. I don't wear them too much, though, but I wanted to shave them from the dumpster. Especially this one. I mean, look." Y/n looked at herself in the mirror and Natasha glanced at her. The dress fit her like a glove just like it did Natasha. It showed a lot of cleavage so she wore a white underneath it to cover herself up a little. "I'm lucky I'm wearing something under this dress. Did you cut it shorter?" She asked him. "No, but that dress got me out of a lot of situations."
"Like the time when they took you hostage?" Natasha shrugged slightly and pressed some of Y/n's clothes aside inside the closet. She wouldn't toss them on the ground, she would have to fold them back up herself. "Yes. Hostage. They could have killed me, and instead, they tied me to a chair. Badly, by the way, I got out of that way too easy and that moron was giving me everything without realizing it." Natasha replied. "Oh, it was one of those? Was he doing that intimidating leaning down to meet at eye level too?" Natasha hummed and nodded along whilst digging through her best friend's closet some more.

"Why did you pick the dress?" Natasha asked. Y/n made another twirl in front of the mirror. "It's cute. And hot at the same time. I'm trying to imagine what would happen if I stand on stage like this with Peter just waiting in the back." She smirked a little at her friend, "And it doesn't look too slutty like this, does it?" Natasha glanced over her shoulder. Y/n walked back over to her bed and plopped down. "Not with that shirt." Y/n played with the hem of the dress. "I should wear this without the shirt out to dinner with Peter. Although, I don't think we'll get past the front door if he sees me like that." Peter allows her to wear anything she wants – he can fight – but he doesn't like to share a sight like that with the eye. When she looked up, she could see Natasha smirk at her. "What? It's Pete. He's still learning and he's a bit possessive." Natasha held the pants that Y/n had in mind as well. "How about this? It's cute. And It also shows off your curves but it doesn't come off as slutty. Put that red top over it and you'll be fine." Y/n stood up from her bed. "And if I bleed through my pants, no one will notice," Y/n added and reached out to grab the pants from her best friend's hands. "So Peter is going to be there too?" Natasha asked, "Are you sure that'll go well? Isn't that Keener kid going to be there too?" Anything could happen if both boys watched her, even if she was just doing her job and not paying the slightest attention to them. They fought over her when she was in a coma. "Ned's coming as well. I may have whispered to him that he needed to keep an eye on them while I am on stage. Peter promised he wouldn't let Harley get on his nerves and Harley said he'd do the same." Y/n wasn't sure if she should tell her best friend about the Vulture coming back. Natasha wasn't around – she might have heard about what happened – and she didn't want her to worry. Peter was there for extra security and his own reassurance. Y/n was a little tense over the possibility that Toomes would show up, but not as much as Peter. "So, you've just got someone else doing your dirty work?" Y/n glared at her. "It's not my dirty work. I can't control everything they do or say, let alone what they think. Ned's on my side, so he will keep them from fighting. I can't go on and off stage every three minutes. Peter wanted to come and I wasn't going to tell him no. Last time he attended something like this was when we were in school and that was because he was Spider-Man. Peter Parker has never actually attended a presentation himself. And Harley has to be there because he's part of my team."
