Chapter 35: Science Fair

Ford's POV

A warm tuesday embrace me while walking along the road going to West Academy. Nasanay na ako maglakad dahil tuwing papasok sa paaralan, araw-araw kong makikita ang pinaka-mapambarang babae na nakilala ko.

"Good Morning." This girl is usually wearing her poker face as she greet everyone, even she knew.

"Good Morning din." she greeted me back.

"So, was that a DSLR?"

"Mukha bang siopao ang bitbit ko? Kita mong may lens, obvious naman di ba?" Its like I will never hear her without sarcasm in everyday she'll speak.

"I'm just asking. Baka kasi digital camera lang ang nasa loob ng bag mo."

"Oo na, oo na."

Naglalakad lang kami ng tahimik ng bigla siyang umimik. "Ikaw? Anong dala mo?"

"Same as yours."

"Gaya-gaya kahit kailan."

School

We have no classes for the whole week. Everyone's busy for the clubs especially the Science for their event, Science Fair.

Nang pumasok kami sa classroom, agad na bumati si Mabel ng makita si Hazel at ako.

"Hello Haze-Haze! Hello Ford!" I only smiled on her as my greet.

"Nasaan si Patch?" tanong ni Hazel kay Mabel.

"Si Patch? Nasa Science Lab para sa Science Fair. Kanina ka pa niya hinihintay. Buti na lang dumating ka na. Kanina pa siya high blood eh." Mabel explains while looking on her eye glasses.

Tumango lang si Hazel sa kanya at humarap sa akin. "Puntahan muna natin si Patch. Agang-aga high blood kaagad."

"Sure." I answered.

As walking at the hallway, every girls are looking on me. My eyes are only fixed on Hazel and I guess she caught me staring on her.

"Bakit?"

"Nothing." Wasn't she irritated to other girls' flirty looks on me?

"Kanina mo pa kasi ako tinititigan na parang may dumi sa mukha ko."

"Your face was fine. Don't worry 'cause you're beautiful in every single day."

"Huwag mo akong niloloko, Headset Guy." Its like she was been easily insulted from what I've said.

"I'm not kidding here."

"Tigilan mo nga ako."

"Ok."

I stopped looking on her and focus my attention on our way. Pero ilang minuto ang lumipas, she cling on my arms as Lean passed.

"Why?" I asked.

She looked on me and frowned. Its cute. "Dumaan si Lean. Natahimik ka ata. Bakit?"

"I'm the one asking you 'why' but you throw my question back to me again."

"Nagtatampo ka ba?"

"For what?" What is she talking about?

"Kanina. Kasi-- Tsss, wala. Wag mo nang intindihin ang sinabi ko kanina." Hindi ko talaga siya maintindihan.

As we entered the Science Lab, Patricia was busy on a far table with her project. Its very beautiful because of some colorful led lights... Beautiful like the girl I like.

"Patch!" Lumapit kami kay Patricia at tila nagulat siya ng makita kami. Hindi niya siguro inaasahan na pupunta kami dito.

"Bakit ngayon ka lang?" Patricia said to Hazel with sarcasm on her voice.
